When it comes to makeup, the sky really is the limit.
There are your base products, like foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, mascara, etc., and then there are extra items that help to boost the performance of your products. One of these items is the NARS Tinted Glow Booster (C$50).
I had actually gotten this product from the brand earlier this year in New York and then since I couldn’t get back to the city, I haven’t used it for quite some time. Now that I’m in Montreal and reunited with all my NYC makeup, I can finally get around to incorporating it into my routine again.
This product is designed to be added to your foundation for a customizable complexion enhancer that adds a beautiful glow and soft-focus effect to your skin. Just add a few pumps to your favourite foundation (I like to add it to NARS Sheer Glow) to extend the wear of your makeup for up to 16 hours.
The formula contains the brand’s exclusive jojoba hydraglow complex, which is a blend of jojoba elixir to nourish skin, and jojoba gel to give you a dewy finish. It also contains skin-tone coloured pearls to brighten and illuminate skin for a beautiful filtered look.
This is available in four shades from light to dark (I got the shade Simos) and although I said to add it to your foundation, you can also just apply it directly on your skin for a little bit of coverage and a beautiful glow. You can also just use it as an illuminator as well and apply it to the highpoints of your face.
So do you need this? I mean, we technically don’t need any makeup item, but I do have to admit that I like the idea of adding this to my foundation to give my skin some extra moisture and provide me with a pretty glow. As mentioned, you can also wear this by itself, which is also really appealing, especially if you are on the hunt for something that gives you a bit of coverage but is still really breathable.
So no, you don’t need it, but I do think it would be the perfect addition to your makeup collection. I’m not sure if this is limited edition or not, but just in case, if you are interested, I would make sure to grab one just in case.

This is the first summer in a long time that I haven’t actually used a lot of self tanner.
I am a self tanner fiend since I don’t tan very well naturally, but with the whole COVID thing and the fact that I work from home, that has made me embrace getting outside way more and my skin did something that I didn’t think was possible: actually get a tan.
Now don’t get me wrong, I still love self tanners and I have used some products to even out colour or apply more bronze to areas that aren’t as dark as others. One of my favourite tanners to do the trick? St. Tropez! I have been using their products for years now and have enjoyed watching their journey from just a bronzing mousse to an wide variety of self tanning products (some of which smell amazing!).

St. Tropez Watermelon Infusion Kit
I am a huge fan of their bronzing mousse and through the years they have released their bestseller in various fragrances. One of the newest ones is their watermelon flavoured one, which they have just released in a really fun set.
The St. Tropez Watermelon Infusion Kit (C$63) features their 10-day medium golden self tanner, which is infused with vitamin E and watermelon extract to moisturize and protect skin. This mousse works the same way as their original, in that it will give you a natural-looking tan, but has a delectable watermelon scent which smells very juicy. Use the limited-edition watermelon mitt to apply it for a flawless application.
St. Tropez Bronzing Gel One-Hour Hydrating Tan
If a gel formula is more your style, then take a look at their Bronzing Gel One-Hour Hydrating Tan (C$54), which is a three-in-one hydrating, lightweight gel that gives you instant colour for a streak-free natural-looking tan.
Apply this with the applicator mitt or gloves for a lightweight application. Since it has a tint to it, you can see where it is going on to ensure no missed spots or a streaky application.
It is also infused with hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin and it has an innovative guide to help you decide how deep you want the application to be. If you want something light, shower it off after one hour; if you want a medium tan, shower after two hours; and for a dark one, shower off after three hours.
St. Tropez Purity Tanning Waters Mini Kit
I absolutely love their Purity line, which is a more water-based gel formula that smells amazing, hydrates, and gives you a beautiful glow, so when I saw they have a little mini kit available, I got really excited.
The Purity Tanning Waters Mini Kit (C$35) is a set of travel-friendly products that are designed to both tan your body and face. It includes a mini size of their Self-Tan Purity Bronzing Water, as well as a mini of their Purity Face Mist.
These products have a tropical scent and once they are applied you don’t have to rinse them off. Apply the gel with the included full-size mitt to the body for a natural-looking glow and then spray on the face mist on your face either under makeup or before you go to bed.
I love the face mist and it’s now the only tanning product I use on my face since it’s designed for the skin in that area and it really does give you a beautiful glow. I like to apply it before bed to wake up with a bronze appearance.
St. Tropez Self Tan Purity Vitamins Bronzing Water Body Mist and Purity Vitamins Face Serum
Speaking of their Purity line, the brand just came out with a couple new products in the family that will up the ante on your self-tanner game.
The Purity Vitamins Bronzing Water Body Mist (C$54) is a lightweight self-tanner that is designed to be sprayed on the body. It contains vitamins C and D boosters to brighten skin, protect against environmental stressors and mimic the effects of the sun without the risk of skin cancer. It also contains hyaluronic acid for hydration and 100 per cent vegan and natural tanning active that will ensure that your tan fades evenly.
I love how you just need to spray this on your body and then take the mitt to blend it all out. It makes application so easy and fast, and has a really pleasant smell that you’ll actually enjoy.
Pair it with the Purity Vitamins Face Serum (C$39), which is a self-tanning serum for the face that will give you a tan in four to six hours. This serum, which is designed for normal, dry, combination, and oily skin is a lightweight serum that combats dark spots, dryness, and dullness and contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate, and the same vitamin C and D boosters to brighten skin and protect it against environmental aggressors.
You can either apply this serum directly to the skin after your cleanser and toner, or mix it in with your moisturizer. I love the idea of this serum and the fact that it gives you some skincare benefits in addition to providing you with that killer glow.
Both the spray and the serum are must haves on my list!
I am so impressed with what St. Tropez has been releasing lately and it’s been so cool to watch them grow from just a couple products that just tanned your skin to a whole line of different items that not only tan, but also provide you with other skin-loving benefits.
Truthfully, I love all of these items and although they are on the pricier side, considering how good self tanners are in general nowadays, I do recommend splurging and picking one or two up. You’ll love the results!

A skincare staple? Serums!
I have tried out a bunch of different Indeed Labs products and have really enjoyed everything I have tried from the brand, especially since they are Canadian and they make their products with active ingredients. They also make a lot of their items with natural products and plants from the earth rather an a chemical lab somewhere.
Anyways, the brand recently came out with a couple new serums, which are perfect for the rest of the summer months.

Not only will it give you beautiful colour, but it also contains giant kelp extract to protect the skin against daily stressors, as well as cocoa seed extract to boost skin against blue light damage.
