I’m blushing! NARS releases Liquid Blushes

The brand most known for their blushes has released a new liquid formula.

Yes, you heard that right folks. If you guessed NARS by that first line, that you’re correct! The cult-classic NARS Orgasm blush got a liquid formula earlier this year and the brand just released some other colours in this new formula line.

Available in four shades, including Orgasm, these brand-new liquid blushes effortlessly glide on skin for the most-perfect glow and a dash of colour. The product features a pump, so one pump is all you need since the product blends out flawlessly and absorbs quickly into your skin for a natural, flushed look. You can either wear it alone or layer it over or under a powder blush for a super rosy look. The liquid includes added monoi and tamanu oils, which are known for extra moisture and resilience.

I received two of the four shades, Luster (a sheer golden apricot) and Torrid (a warm coral with golden shimmer). There is also Orgasm (a sheer warm pink with golden shimmer) and Dolce Vita (a matte dusty rose).

The formula on this is definitely very buildable. Blush to some people is their ride or die product, but to me, it’s never really been something that I need 24 different shades of.  As long as I have a pink or peach I’m good. I also tend to use it with a light hand, which is perfect for these liquid blushes since they can apply quite sheer depending on the amount of product you dispense.  Speaking of dispensing it, I tend to find products with pumps to be finicky since I tend to have a heavy hand when it comes to pressing down on it.  I’m always scared that the product is going to shoot out everywhere (it’s definitely happened before). So far, so good with these since they are too beautiful to waste, but I always have to remind myself to be extra careful.

As for application, I’ve only applied these with my fingers, but a sponge or brush would also make these go on just as beautiful. I’m really digging Luster since I’m currently obsessed with peach-toned blushes; they are just too perfect for the summer months.

Overall, I think NARS nailed it with these liquid blushes. If you are a fan of their OG formula (really, who isn’t?), then you should check these out. They retails for C$38 each, so the same price as their powder formula.  I’m sure they’ll be releasing more colours down the line as well.
