Fresh & Fruity: Three Glow Recipe products to try this spring

We all love glowing and hydrated skin.

I have tried a lot of different lines and formulas when it comes to skincare and to be honest, I’m such a sucker for cute branding, so I’ll naturally gravitate towards something cute and colourful.

Enter Glow Recipe.

Glow Recipe is a vegan and cruelty-free brand that is powered by fruit. I have tried a lot of their various products and although I love them, I do think it’s more for those who are in their teens and 20s. I’m in my 30s and although I do prefer more anti-aging and stronger skincare but I do love to formula of Glow Recipe and love the fact that it has natural ingredients.

So, with that being said, I recently got some new items to try out, including their brand-new sunscreen, and I couldn’t wait to share them on here.

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Need a boost of hydration? Check out the Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum (C$76).

This serum contains plum, as well as five weights of hyaluronic acid to plump skin. Great for all kinds of skin types, this helps with dryness, loss of firmness and elasticity, and fine lines and wrinkles.

This lightweight serum contains hyaluronic acid, three antioxidant plums to hydrate, nourish, and rejuvenate skin, as well as vegan collagen and silk proteins to guard skin against free radicals and to hydrate.

I have actually been using this serum during my daytime skincare routine and love how lightweight and hydrating it is. It also smells nice and absorbs into the skin really nicely. This serum is great for hydrating skin, as well as giving you a more plump and radiant appearance.

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer

Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream

Pair the Glow Recipe Plum Plump Hyaluronic Serum with the Plum Plump Hyaluronic Cream (C$52).

This moisturizer, which is a whipped gel cream formula, visibly plumps skin and leaves it with a gorgeous glow.

This moisturizer, which is ideal for normal, dry, combination, and oily skin, is great for dryness, dullness, and loss of firmness and elasticity.  The formula contains polyglutamic acid, which boosts the efficacy of hyaluronic acid and locks in moisture, hyaluronic acid to hydrate, and plum and ice willow herb to brighten, hydrate, and balance skin.

The moisturizer actually comes in a recyclable and refillable package so once you are done it you can buy the refill.  I think this moisturizer would be perfect for those in their mid-20s as it does give you anti-aging benefits, as well as hydrates and protects skin.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sunscreen SPF 50

Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sunscreen SPF 50

Applying sunscreen as part of your daytime skincare routine is essential, so this Glow Recipe release has been a showstopper product.

The Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Sunscreen SPF 50 (C$45) is a sunscreen that hydrates and gives skin a visible glow while also working to evening out skin tone over time.

Ideal for all types of skin, it is a lightweight cream sunscreen that also helps with fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, and dullness. The formula contains niacinamide to reduce the appearance of dark spots, pores, and dullness, as well as hyaluronic acid to hydrate, and aloe to soothe and hydrate skin.

This sunscreen is lightweight and gives a sun protection of SPF 50. It also has a blend of mineral and chemical sunscreen actives.  It is also reef safe and doesn’t leave a white cast or a greasy feel.

I absolutely love the Tula sunscreen, however, it’s not available in Canada.  This one is a great alternative and you can find it here in the Great North. It is currently sold out on Sephora online but check your local store to see if they have it in stock there.

Glow Recipe products

Overall I really love Glow Recipe products and love the fact that it’s fruit-first focused.  Also, I’m such a sucker for the branding and packaging, so I always love to try out their new products.  If you are in your teens or 20s I would definitely take a look at creating a regimen using their products.
