Staying in: Buxom Staycation Vibes collection
When Buxom shot the campaign for their new Staycation Vibes collection, little did they know how timely this theme would be.
Their brand-new Staycation Vibes collection is the perfect line to get you in the summer mood since it’s aimed to give you both the perfect glow, both on your skin and your lips.
This collection consists of new bronzers and lipglosses and has me seriously planning my weekend of staycation fun!
First up is the Staycation Vibes Primer-Infused Bronzer (C$36), which is a two-toned bronzer with a silky, lightweight formula. The bronzer not only applies perfectly onto your skin, but it’s actually enriched with hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump and has Emulsion-in-Powder Technology and microsphere powders, making it easy to blend in perfectly for a natural-looking sunkissed tan.
This bronzer is available in two shades, Backyard Bronze (golden bronze, for darker skin tones) and Rooftop Tan (golden tan, for lighter and fair skin tones) and is designed to be humidity-proof to stay on your skin for hours on end. It also is designed to radiate skin and the subtle tropical scent will transport you from your patio to a hotel pool in the Bahamas (I wish!).
Buxom sent me the shade Rooftop Tan to try out and after the first use I instantly fell in love with it. Since it’s two-toned, you are supposed to swirl your brush in the product for the perfect bronze glow. This really does apply nicely to skin and doesn’t look dirty or orangey at all. Instead you are left with the perfect summer glow that will last hours on end. I also want to note that the size of this bronzer is quite large, much larger than their blushes, and this will definitely last you all summer long, if not into 2021 if you use it religiously.
Pair the new bronzer with one of their Full-On Plumping Lip Polish shades (C$26 each). I have always loved this lipgloss since it’s super shimmery and helps to plump up lips. The formula is infused with a unique peptide complex and vitamins A and E to moisturize. It does have a tingling feeling, but I would say that it isn’t as uncomfortable as a lot of other plumping glosses out there. You can either wear it alone or pair it with your favourite lipstick for some added oomph.
Buxom has released four new shades in these glosses as part of the Staycation Vibes collection. There’s White Russian Sparkle (nude pink sparkle), Charlie (light gold shimmer), Dylan (sheer rose shimmer) and Ryan (coral red shimmer). The brand sent me two of the four shades, White Russian Sparkle and Charlie, and both are the perfect gloss to rock this summer since they are such flattering colours. Charlie is more of a yellow-toned gold, whereas White Russian Sparkle is the perfect nude pink that I always gravitate towards.
Since we will all be having staycations this summer, this collection could not have come at a better time (and seriously, what is more exciting than glosses and bronzers to complete your summer makeup look?)
