Skin-ny dip: The skincare products to add to your list for June

Is it just me, but as soon as March ended, the months have just been flying by?

Over the past few months (since quarantine started), I’ve really been putting a lot of effort into my skin. I’ve always been a huge skincare person, but since I have so many products, I have been rotating in more serums and masks lately, more so than usual.

If you are on the hunt for some new products to try out for your skin, then take a look at my top picks for June.

Avon Anew Vitamin C Brightening Eye Cream and Anew Vitamin C Illuminating Priming Moisturizer

Avon Anew Vitamin C Brightening Eye Cream and Anew Vitamin C Illuminating Priming Moisturizer

If you love the Ole Henriksen Banana Bright Eye Balm and Priming Moisturizer, then you might really dig Avon’s newest skincare offerings.

The Anew Vitamin C Brightening Eye Cream (C$48) is an eye cream that is designed to visibly reduce the appearance of dark circles and leave the under eye area looking brighter and even toned.

The product is powered by a combination of Vitamins C and B3 to help wake up the eye area and make it appear that you got hours of sleep, even if you didn’t.

Pair their new eye cream with the Anew Vitamin C Illuminating Priming Moisturizer (C$48), which contains a similar formula of Vitamins C and B3 to instantly brighten the complexion and prep it for makeup.  This moisturizer is designed to be used after their Brightening Serum and will hydrate skin, make it radiate, and create the perfect base for the rest of your routine.

Derma E Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel and Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

Derma E Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel and Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

Speaking of Vitamin C, Derma E also has a few products that are guaranteed to up your skin health this month.

Their Vitamin C Instant Radiance Citrus Facial Peel (C$29) is a non-abrasive blend of Alpha Hydroxy Acids that helps to resurface and smooth skin’s texture, while also reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This fast-acting citrus fruit peel helps to improve the appearance of discolouration, dark spots, and uneven skin tone.

Its formula includes Vitamin C to brighten and support collagen health, citrus fruit peel puree for discolouration, dark spots, and uneven skin tone, and glycolic acid to remove dead surface skin cells.

Apply a thin layer of this product to skin once a week after cleansing and leave on for three to five minutes. Remove it with the little spoon it comes with and then rinse with cold water for instantly glowing skin.

Pair the peel with their Vitamin C Concentrated Serum (C$37.99), which uses a stabilized form of Vitamin C which is less likely to degrade compared to an unstabilized version. This serum boosts hydration in the skin, has antioxidants to guard against UV rays and other environmental stressors, encourages collagen health, and has strong anti-aging properties, meaning a reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and age spots.

Apply this to your skin morning and night before your moisturizer.

Belif Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser

If you love the Belif True Cream Aqua Bomb, then you’ll love their Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser (C$34).

This cleanser, which comes in the cutest packaging, is a gentle jelly-to-foam cleanser that gives you a burst of hydration while removing all traces of makeup and impurities, without stripping skin of moisture.

This cleanser is perfect for normal, combination, and oily skin, and will help with dryness, pores, dullness, and uneven texture. The formula includes Lady’s Mantal, which helps to minimize the look of pores and removes free radicals from the skin while supporting natural cell turnover, as well as Napiers Aqua Formula, which supports hyaluronic acid.

This cleanser contains the same hydrating properties as The True Cream Aqua Bomb, so it will hydrate while gently cleansing the skin.

Arbonne Botaniques Concentrated Shower Gel Apple

Okay, so this next one isn’t for the face, but body care is just as important!

If you are looking for a travel-sized (for those in-province or state road trips you’ll be taking this summer), then take a look at Arbonne’s Botaniques Concentrated Shower Gel in Apple (also comes in Apricot, C$10).  This shower gel is environmentally friendly because of its smaller package. It might be a small bottle but since you only need a pea-sized amount, there is enough in here for 40 showers.

The aromatic formula gently cleanses skin without stripping it of moisture. The fragrance from the body wash is made from natural botanicals and essential oils so it’s quite the treat in the shower or bath.

As for what’s in it, it contains aloe vera and cucumber extract to hydrate and condition, as well as chamomile flower extract to soften and smooth skin.

I’ve really been loving these skincare products, and best of all, they are all pretty affordable compared to other brands.  They are also all pretty much clean brands or products, so not only will they be doing your skin good, but they are great for your body as well.

I will be chatting about the Indeed spray later this week. I was going to add it to this post originally but decided to couple it with a different product for a later post. So stay tuned!

What’s your current favourite skincare product? Have you tried any of these?
