Sweet & smooth: Nair Candy Apple Sugar Wax

Nair title

Although it may not quite feel like summer just yet, the weather is slowly getting warmer, bringing us to….. shorts season!  Hemlines are getting shorter, the heels higher, the skin tanner, and well, your legs have to keep up.

I don’t know if you are like me, but during the winter months, I usually just let my leg hair grow, I mean who is really going to see those hairy beasts (okay, I take that back, I teach fitness classes, so a lot of people.. whoops!).  As much as I love shaving, it can be a pain, especially in the summer months when the hair seems to grow much faster.

Enter the Nair Sugar Wax.  I have tried multiple Nair products in the past, including their wax strips and the Shower Power hair removal cream, but I’ve never tried an at-home wax set.  This beauty is scented with irresistible candy apple, so it makes the whole experience sugary sweet!

From France (ooh la la!), the sugar wax features a lavish soft and creamy texture, luxurious scent, and long-lasting results up to four weeks.  Best part, the 100 per cent rinsable formula (no sticky legs or hands!) has been proven to be effective on hair as short as two millimetres.

Package

Since my legs looked like they were due for a wax, I tried it out on Saturday and I have to say, I was impressed!  The kit comes with a 300 gram pot of the wax, which you heat up in your microwave for 30 seconds.  It also includes 15 wax strips which are reusable, as well as a wooden spatula. In reading the press materials, apparently the non-woven strips rinse in water and are reusable, I threw mine out (whoops!) but next time around I’ll rinse them and see how well they hold up.

Wax

Overall I’m really impressed with this product.  If you go for a leg wax at a salon it will cost you a pretty penny.  This set is only C$14.99 and it gives you enough wax to last you the whole summer.  You can use this for your legs, body, and bikini area.  I’m interested in trying it on my face as well.

I highly recommend this, I found it worked way better than their wax strips which can be quite irritating if you unpeel them before they are warm enough.  Pick up this set and have a girl’s night in with your besties! Wax, mani, pedi, and mask (plus a glass of wine… or two…;) ) and you’re all set!

Have you tried waxing or hair removal products from NAIR?  What were your thoughts?
