When it comes to beauty holiday collections, one of the best value ones are by Benefit Cosmetics.
I always say in general that if you need to pick up skincare or beauty, then now is the time to get it and stock up since you can usually find amazing deals on some of your favourite items (and get some bonus goodies in the process). I am always blown away by what Benefit offers this time of the year as I find their sets retail for at least half or more than they are valued at.
If new makeup is on your wish list, then I think you’ll really love what Benefit has in store for your this season. Below are just three sets from their holiday collection, giving you the tip of the iceberg of what’s in store this season…
Holiday Cutie Beauty Makeup Bestsellers Value Set
If you have someone on your list who has always wanted to try Benefit and want to give them a rounded out set of some of their bestselling products, then they will love the Holiday Cutie Beauty Makeup Bestsellers Value Set (C$54, valued at $126).
This set, which comes housed in a beautiful tin, features two full-size products and a two deluxe size items of some of the brand’s bestsellers.
Included in here is a full size of the Hoola Matte Bronzer, a full size of the They’re Real Magnet Mascara, a mini of the POREfessional Hydrating Primer in either Light, Medius, or Deep, and a mini of the Gimme Brow+ Volumizing Eyebrow Gel in shades 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, or 5 (there’s only one shade in the set).
This kit comes with some of the brand’s most iconic items and I love how it’s a great starter pack for those who have never tried Benefit, or use Benefit and love these products. Also, the value of this set is incredible as it is less than half of what it is valued at.
Although there are only two full sized items in here, the minis will last a long time as well, and will really allow you to use the products to see if you like them and if they work for you and your skin/brows.
The More the Merrier advent calendar
We all love a good advent calendar and this one from Benefit is one of the best makeup ones I’ve seen this year.
This beauty advent calendar comes in a re-giftable box and contains 12 containers filled with deluxe-sized and fun-sized Benefit goodies. Although it’s a not a traditional 24-day calendar, the contents of it more than make up for the lack of days and anyone who you gift this to will surely love it and be excited to open it every day.
Included in the calendar are the following:

If you have been wanting to try out Benefit’s newest mascara, They’re Real! Magnet Extreme Lengthening Mascara, then now is your chance!
The Lashes All The Way (C$40, valued at $56) set comes with a full size of the They’re Real! Magnet Extreme Lengthening Mascara, as well as a mini size for travel.
The set comes housed in a festive stocking tin and it a great deal for this mascara. On its own, a full size of this mascara retails for C$36, so for four dollars more, you can get the deluxe size as well.
If you haven’t tried it yet, this mascara has a magnetically-enriched formula that works with the wand’s magnetic core to extend lashes up to 40 per cent longer for a lifted and lengthened effect.
Benefit has a few more holiday sets and items available for the festive season and like I said, I always find their sets to be some of the best value ones out there. If you have some favourite Benefit items, I would look to see if those items are available in a gift set and then pick it up since you’re probably only spending a little bit more money and getting way more items for almost the same price.

So when it comes to some of my favourite beauty brands, Charlotte Tilbury is high on that list.
Overall, most products I have tried from the UK beauty brand have been amazing and I often gravitate towards her makeup when applying a face for an evening or day out.
When it comes to holiday sets, hers are usually some of my favourites since she just knows what her clientele loves. You can’t go wrong with a Charlotte Tilbury holiday set and thankfully there are so many options and truly something for everyone.
From skincare to makeup to brushes, there is a gift for just about anyone on your list, but below are some of my top choices.
Pillow Talk On the Go Face Set
If you have tried her iconic Pillow Talk lipstick, then you know what the hype is all about.
Since the shade has quickly become her staple product, she soon released a ton of other items in the Pillow Talk umbrella, and if you are looking for the most iconic look, then take a look at the Pillow Talk On the Go Face Set (C$60).
Valued at C$74, this set includes four minis for both the face and lips based off her Pillow Talk shade. Included in the set is a travel size of the Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk, a travel-sized Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk Original, a full-size Pillow Talk Color Chameleon Eye Shadow Pencil, and a 4 ml size of the Pillow Talk Push Up Lashes Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara in black.
This set is perfect for a romantic eye and lip look. Although the lip liner and lipstick are mini sizes, they are a great way to try out the shade, and honestly, there is enough in there to last you for a month (I still have some mini lipsticks kicking around from past collections).
The mascara is also a great one to try out and the deluxe size will let you experience if you like it or not. This mascara isn’t my favourite one by her but it features a great brush that allows you to comb through and push up lashes. I like to pair it with her Legendary Lashes mascara for the most eye-opening look.
Instant Look in a Palette
I love Charlotte Tilbury’s powdered face products, so the Instant Look in a Palette (C$85) was a gift that is definitely on my list.
This palette, available in two shades (Stoned Rose Beauty and Sunset Dreamscape), features all you need to make up a face. Open up the palette to reveal three eyeshadows, two cheek colours, a contour colour, and a highlight.
Both of the colour combos are based off her bestselling lipsticks and feature neutral shades to give you a beautiful natural glow. This is one of those palettes that will be sure to get a lot of use, so it’s a great gift idea. I know it is on the pricier side, but considering it has all the powder products you need for your face, I think this one will be a hit (and perfect for travel if you have any trips coming up!).
Charlotte’s Magic Mini Brush Set
If you want to go above and beyond, pair the Instant Look in a Palette with her Magic Mini Brush Set (C$75).
This brush set comes in a beautiful red velvet clutch that opens up to reveal four mini brushes. Included in here is a mini face powder brush, a mini eye blender brush, a mini eye smudge brush, and a mini eye/lip precision brush.
This is a beautiful statement piece, and although the clutch isn’t quite big enough for a cell phone, it’s a gorgeous item that can hold just about anything else (hey, mini bags are still in!).
Magic Serum Secrets set
Finally, for the skincare lover, take a look at her Magic Serum Secrets set (C$75).
This set, valued at C$85, contains a mini of her Magic Serum, as well as a full-size of her lip oil.
The Magic Lip Oil works as a lip conditioner during the day and a mask by night. Apply it for hydrated and soft lips thanks to the Swertian leaf extract, which helps to reduce the appearance of lip lines. It also has resurrection leaf to lock in moisture, Sqisandryl to plump them, and hyaluronic acid to hydrate.
Meanwhile, the Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, which comes in an 8ml in this set, is a serum that helps to deliver a brighter-looking complexion, as well as more hydrated skin. Since this is a deluxe travel size, it’s a nice gift to see if it will work with your skin, or whoever you gift it to’s skin.
I’ve used both these products and really loved them. Although her makeup is incredible, the skincare really performs as well.
Now if none of these gifts appeal to you, not to worry, she has tons of other sets and holiday items available on both her site and Sephora (and in store as well at her counters!). I love Charlotte Tilbury, so this collection was the one I was most looking forward to. You really can’t go wrong with any of her products.

It always surprises me what Shoppers Drug Mart has in store.
No longer does the popular Canadian drugstore carry just pharmaceutical products and drugstore beauty, but they have basically anything and everything you can think of.
I always love to browse Shoppers during the holiday season since you can find so many excellent gift ideas in store at all different price points. From toys to cosmetics to chocolates and jewelry, there is truly something for everyone, which makes it a great place to shop for gifts.
Now with that being said, obviously when it comes to cosmetics, Shoppers Drug Mart has tons of great items in store. They actually recently sent me a giant box of goodies and there were three that stood out to me as some great gift ideas, no matter who you are giving them to.
Quo Beauty Cosmetic Crackers
I’ve gotten these Quo Beauty Cosmetic Crackers (C$15) for a few years in a row now and find them to be an excellent gift idea.
If you have a lot of friends that you need to buy gifts for, then I would definitely pick this up. This set comes with six crackers that contain mini Quo Beauty lip glosses in all sorts of colours. You can either gift this as a set or break them up (it would be perfect as a party favour for a girlfriend’s holiday dinner!). They would also make great gift ideas for every night of Hanukkah (you would need two more though to round out the eight days).
Life Brand Soothing Sheet Mask
Another great gift idea is a sheet mask.
Now obviously you would want to get something else to round out the gift, but if you are doing up some gift bags then a sheet mask is a great addition.
As part of their Life Brand, Shoppers has a festive sheet mask in their holiday line up, the Frosted Forest Soothing Sheet Mask. At only C$1.99, you can stock up on these as they are perfect for healing dry and tired winter skin.
This sheet mask is formulated with willow herb to soothe irritated skin, as well as purslane extract to replenish dry skin and keeping it hydrated and nourished.
Quo Beauty All The Glam Brush Set
My very first brushes were a holiday brush set from Quo, so I hold their brushes near and dear to my heart.
Every year Quo Beauty comes out with amazing brush sets and this year is no different. One of their sets is the All The Glam Brush Set (C$25, valued at $50), which is an amazing value and comes with six brushes and a case.
This brush set has six travel-sized brushes, including a powder brush, a foundation brush, a crease brush, an all-over shadow brush, a smudge brush, and a pointed liner brush, all of which comes housed in a tin canister.
All the brushes feature 100 per cent synthetic fibers and are sure to become your favourite brushes yet. Also, can we just talk about that price? For $25 you can’t go wrong with this. Their brushes usually sell out quick, so hop on this right away!
