When it comes to foundations, lately I have been loving tinted moisturizers and BB creams.
There are so many amazing formulas out there right now and they have definitely improved over the years. I love wearing these since they are nice and lightweight on the skin and leave you with a beautiful glow.
I recently got sent the new L’Oreal Paris True Match Nude Hyaluronic Acid Tinted Serum (C$25.99) and was instantly intrigued over the fact that it’s a serum that also gives you coverage like a foundation.
Available in nine shades, this product contains one per cent hyaluronic acid to plump and hydrate skin while also instantly brightening it and evening out its tone. The really cool thing is that with regular use you will start to see visibly plumper skin and a more bright and even complexion.
The shade range on here is pretty good as it goes from light to very dark. I did find it to be hydrating and I loved the amount of coverage it gave my skin. It also left me with a beautiful glow, so I think it’s going to be so perfect as we head into more warmer weather (with an SPF worn underneath of course!).
The serum is applied via a dropper, however, I did find that I didn’t get a ton of product from the dropper so I just wiped the dropper on my beauty sponge instead (I wish it were a pump). I also found that it did last on my skin all day, even in a blowing snow storm, so that is a major plus.
I love the idea of this product and I think it’s something that I could wear everyday, even though I spend most of my days at home. If you love tinted moisturizers then I think you’ll really love this product.
Please note, products sent by PR. All opinions are my honest own.

Winter weather got your skin down?
Winter can be so harsh on the skin and I have definitely been feeling the effects lately. I usually have to spray my face with some hydration by mid afternoon and on some days I notice that my skin just looks dry.
I’ve recently started to incorporate some new products into my routine, whether it’s for one-off treatments or daily use and thankfully I have found this help in some regard. All of these products are new and are aimed to infuse your skin with some much-needed hydration.
RoC Multi-Correxion Hydrate and Plump Night Serum Capsules
I love a good potent night serum.
I’ve used a few of RoC’s serums and products over the years and have always really loved the various capsules they have in their collection since they deliver a more powerful and potent dose of product to the face.
The newest one in their line-up is the Multi-Correxion Hydrate and Plump Night Serum Capsules (C$35.97). Each jar contains 30 ampoules of serum and this formula is clinically proven to hydrate and plump skin.
Each capsule contains a measured dose of hyaluronic acid, which is proven to draw moisture from within skin up to the surface for a more plump complexion. They come housed in a 100 per cent biodegradable capsule that you can use on the go.
Apply a capsule every night or nights when you need some extra moisture. It also helps to encourage your skin’s own natural hyaluronic acid production and you’ll find that over time your skin looks and feels more hydrated and plump.
East 29th Vital Serum
I always love trying out products from small Canadian brands, so when I got in East 29th Vital Serum, I was so excited to give it a try.
East 29th is a skincare brand based in Vancouver and it’s all natural, clean, non-GMO, certified cruelty-free, paraben free, fragrance free, and vegan. Their collection of products includes three items that are essentials, including their essential Vital Serum (C$88).
This serum contains a powerful punch of lemon rind extract, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and Vitamins C & E. Now in the morning I like to apply my Skinceuticals Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid serums, so I really like how this serum has all that included in one bottle. This packs a high concentration of all-natural ingredients that penetrate the skin to improve hydration, texture, and tone, while also firming, promoting elasticity, and smoothing wrinkles.
Now I’m pretty familiar with what most of the ingredients do, but I hadn’t heard of lemon rind extract for skincare before. This is high in antioxidants and is shown to improve skin clarity by cleansing, exfoliating, and brightening. It also targets age spots, removes dead skin cells, and promotes elasticity.
I really love the idea of this serum and for only C$88, it’s a steal, considering that lots of other serums basically cost this much and might have one of the ingredients that was listed.
Laneige Water Sleeping Mask
I am a huge fan of Laneige, so when I heard they came out with a new formula of their Water Sleeping Mask, I had to get my hands on it.
The new and improved Water Sleeping Mask (C$38) is an overnight moisturizer that is formulated with squalene and their probiotic-derived complex to give you super hydrated skin.
Ideal for all types of skin, but especially dry ones (or winter skin), apply this before bed to wake up with a hydrated glow thanks to the probiotic-derived complex, which also supports the skin’s moisture barrier. The hydrating squalene is the star ingredient in here as it helps to mimic skin’s natural lipids, leaving you with am incredibly hydrated complexion.
If you are a fan of Laneige’s moisturizers already then I think you’ll really love this one, especially since the weather is still cold. It’s great as a winter moisturizer!
Although the sun has been out longer and the weather should be getting warmer soon, it’s still important to try your skin with some major TLC during these last bits of winter.
What have you been using to give your skin some TLC?

I always love trying out new skincare… especially if it’s on the pricier side.
Last week I attended a Zoom event with Canadian brand Bella Aura, who is also new to me. The brand focuses on three main root causes of skin problems, that being ROS, dehydration, and inflammation. Their products blend modern science with ancient spiritual knowledge so they are embedded in nature and backed by science.
Now they have a wide range of items available but they recently sent over three of their newest launches. Starting first with the Multi-Repair Rescue Masque (C$150), this overnight mask is formulated to support blemish-free skin, while also enhancing skin’s smoothness and clarity. It effectively rebalances the skin’s microbiome and blocks inflammatory responses, as well as regulates sebum production and removes blackheads.
If you suffer from imbalanced skin, uneven skin, blackheads, whiteheads, pimples, oily skin, inflamed skin, hypersensitivity, or redness, then you will benefit from this mask. I have really enjoyed applying this to the skin before I go to bed and then sleep with it on, which is what it is designed for. The texture is very lightweight and comfortable and it features a pleasant scent as well.
Also new is the Multi-Wrinkle Minimizer Serum (C$175), which is a high-performance serum designed to lift skin, as well as tighten pores, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, and provide a noticeable firming effect on the skin.
If you have fine lines, expressed wrinkles, gravity-induced wrinkles, loss of elasticity, photo aging, uneven skin texture, enlarged pores, or stressed-out skin, then I think you’ll love this.
You can apply this serum underneath the Multi-Repair Rescue Masque for the ultimate skin treatment. This serum contains different film-forming actives to tighten and firm skin right after application. It also has high concentrations of cellular nutrients and antioxidants to improve overall skin cell health. It also helps to seal in hydration and protect skin against environmental aggressors, which is always nice to have in skincare.
Finally, for the ultimate lifting effect, invest in their Gravity Reverse Beauty Sculptor (C$149), which is a sculpting tool that complements their skincare products. This tool contains two rollerballs to help sculpt the skin. This tool is great for face and body and helps with increasing overall blood circulation, as well as encouraging lymphatic drainage. It also works via solar to activate the cells, promote metabolism, and micro-circulation in the skin.
I love using this with their serum and mask to help with lymphatic drainage and sculpting. I keep it at my desk so I can use it a few times a day while I’m working as well.
This is my first foray into the Bella Aura brand, but I love how it’s female founded and Canadian, which is always a plus in my books. I also love the packaging of the products, which are designed in Italy I believe.
Have you tried Bella Aura skincare?
