Hydration station: Three products to boost your hydration this winter

Winter weather got your skin down?

Winter can be so harsh on the skin and I have definitely been feeling the effects lately.  I usually have to spray my face with some hydration by mid afternoon and on some days I notice that my skin just looks dry.

I’ve recently started to incorporate some new products into my routine, whether it’s for one-off treatments or daily use and thankfully I have found this help in some regard.  All of these products are new and are aimed to infuse your skin with some much-needed hydration.

RoC Multi-Correxion Hydrate and Plump Night Serum Capsules

RoC Multi-Correxion Hydrate and Plump Night Serum Capsules

I love a good potent night serum.

I’ve used a few of RoC’s serums and products over the years and have always really loved the various capsules they have in their collection since they deliver a more powerful and potent dose of product to the face.

The newest one in their line-up is the Multi-Correxion Hydrate and Plump Night Serum Capsules (C$35.97).  Each jar contains 30 ampoules of serum and this formula is clinically proven to hydrate and plump skin.

Each capsule contains a measured dose of hyaluronic acid, which is proven to draw moisture from within skin up to the surface for a more plump complexion.  They come housed in a 100 per cent biodegradable capsule that you can use on the go.

Apply a capsule every night or nights when you need some extra moisture.  It also helps to encourage your skin’s own natural hyaluronic acid production and you’ll find that over time your skin looks and feels more hydrated and plump.

East 29th Vital Serum

East 29th Vital Serum

I always love trying out products from small Canadian brands, so when I got in East 29th Vital Serum, I was so excited to give it a try.

East 29th is a skincare brand based in Vancouver and it’s all natural, clean, non-GMO, certified cruelty-free, paraben free, fragrance free, and vegan. Their collection of products includes three items that are essentials, including their essential Vital Serum (C$88).

This serum contains a powerful punch of lemon rind extract, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and Vitamins C & E.  Now in the morning I like to apply my Skinceuticals Vitamin C and Hyaluronic acid serums, so I really like how this serum has all that included in one bottle.  This packs a high concentration of all-natural ingredients that penetrate the skin to improve hydration, texture, and tone, while also firming, promoting elasticity, and smoothing wrinkles.

Now I’m pretty familiar with what most of the ingredients do, but I hadn’t heard of lemon rind extract for skincare before.  This is high in antioxidants and is shown to improve skin clarity by cleansing, exfoliating, and brightening. It also targets age spots, removes dead skin cells, and promotes elasticity.

I really love the idea of this serum and for only C$88, it’s a steal, considering that lots of other serums basically cost this much and might have one of the ingredients that was listed.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

I am a huge fan of Laneige, so when I heard they came out with a new formula of their Water Sleeping Mask, I had to get my hands on it.

The new and improved Water Sleeping Mask (C$38) is an overnight moisturizer that is formulated with squalene and their probiotic-derived complex to give you super hydrated skin.

Ideal for all types of skin, but especially dry ones (or winter skin), apply this before bed to wake up with a hydrated glow thanks to the probiotic-derived complex, which also supports the skin’s moisture barrier.  The hydrating squalene is the star ingredient in here as it helps to mimic skin’s natural lipids, leaving you with am incredibly hydrated complexion.

If you are a fan of Laneige’s moisturizers already then I think you’ll really love this one, especially since the weather is still cold.  It’s great as a winter moisturizer!

Although the sun has been out longer and the weather should be getting warmer soon, it’s still important to try your skin with some major TLC during these last bits of winter.

What have you been using to give your skin some TLC?
