Bronzed + glowy: Two new products to try from St. Tropez

I love a good self tanner.

As soon as the weather gets warmer, it’s official tan season since it’s exactly as they say, everything looks better with a tan.

I have used many self tanners over the year but one of my all-time favourite brands is St. Tropez. Although they are a little pricey compared to others, their products just leave you with the most gorgeous glow and without the foul smell that is known in the self tanner world.

Now I have been using St. Tropez products for years now and have watched the line evolve from their original bronzing mousse to gels, facial products, lotions.. the list goes on and on. Recently I got to try out two of their newest items and it was love at first application.

St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Whipped Cream

St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Whipped Cream

Okay, so I first got this product from my lash artist who sells St. Tropez products and their spray tans (shout out to BB Artistry in Winnipeg!) who gifted me the Tan x Ashley Graham Limited Edition Glow Kit. The kit includes their new Self Tan Luxe Whipped Crème Mousse along with a limited-edition applicator co-created with Graham herself.

The Self Tan Luxe Whipped Crème Mousse (C$61), which you can buy on its own, is a self-tanning mousse that gives you a gorgeous deep tan that lasts longer than their other formulations, as well as contains a pleasant fine fragrance.

This tanning mousse contains a number of ingredients that help to nourish skin, even out tone, and protect it from environmental aggressors. Think of it like a self tanner but also with skincare. It contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate, niacinamide to visibly reduce redness and even out skin tone, and vitamin E and echinacea to protect skin from free radicals, soothe skin, and reduce redness.

This self tanner also has a beautiful scent to it which is a blend of sandalwood and musk. Overall, it’s the total package in self tanners and the one that has quickly solidified its place as my new favourite tanner.

Apply the mousse with a tanning mitt and you’ll notice instant colour. The longer you leave this product on for the deeper tan you will get. Usually with tanners I find I have to apply them a few days in a row to get the colour I want, but with this one, after eight hours or so, the tan is the perfect shade of bronze.

St. Tropez Tan Tonic Glow Drops

St. Tropez Tan Tonic Glow Drops

Keep your tan going with the new Tan Tonic Glow Drops (C$49).

These drops can be applied directly to the skin or added into your favourite moisturizer to give you a beautiful glow while hydrating skin. The drops themselves include 100 per cent natural tanning actives and skincare ingredients, such as niacinamide, to smooth the look of fine lines, reduce redness, and visibly even out skin tone; vitamin E and echinacea to protect skin from environmental damage, soothe skin, and reduce the look of redness; and dual-molecular weight hyaluronic acid to hydrate skin and visibly plump it up.

I love adding these drops to my body moisturizer since it’s a great way to keep skin hydrated while also giving it a subtle glow. You won’t get as deep of a tan with these drops as you would with the bronzing mousse, but I like to add this on in the mornings since it doesn’t leave a tackiness like the other bronzing products and honestly, once the moisturizer is absorbed into your skin, you don’t even feel it.

The drops are a great addition to their tanning mousse and my regular routine with these products would be to do the mousse once a week and then the drops with your moisturizer two to three times a week to keep the glow going.

St. Tropez Tan Tonic Glow Drops and St. Tropez Self Tan Luxe Whipped Cream

Honestly, I can’t recommend this duo enough. I think they really do go hand in hand and work to give you the most perfect tan for the summer.

Have you tried these new St. Tropez products?
