Think pink: Estee Lauder Companies Pink Ribbon products

Did you know that Evelyn H. Lauder, the founder of Estee Lauder, co-created the famous breast cancer pink ribbon?

It all happened in 1992, when The Campaign was created, and it supports more than 60 organizations worldwide to raise funds, educate, support, and create a world without breast cancer.

As part of the companies largest corperate social impact program, their breast cancer campaign has raised more than $99 million globally for lifesaving research, education, and medical services, with more than $80 million funding 321 media research grants through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the highest-rated non-profit breast cancer organization in the U.S., which was actually founded by Lauder in 1993.

Estee Lauder Group of Companies breast cancer 2021 awareness products

Breast cancer is the most common cancer among Canadian women, according to the Canadian Cancer Society.  In 2020, the Canadian Cancer Society, estimated that on average, 75 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer every, and on average, 14 Canadian women will die from breast cancer every day.

As you can see, finding a cure for breast cancer is super important, and as you may know, October is breast cancer awareness month.

As part of The Campaign, 19 brands under the Estee Lauder Group of Companies umbrella have released special-edition pink breast cancer products, where proceeds from those items go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). The companies participating include AERIN, Aveda, Bobbi Brown, Bumble and bumble, Clinique, Darphin, DKNY, Donna Karan, Dr. Jart+, Estée Lauder, GLAMGLOW, Jo Malone London, La Mer, Lab Series, Michael Kors, Origins, Smashbox, Tom Ford Beauty, and Too Faced. Each will sell Pink Ribbon Products or make donations to BCRF and/or other charitable organizations around the world.

In honour of this important campaign, Estee Lauder sent over a box with some of these products in it to highlight this important initiative, and if you purchase any of these products regularly, I do encourage you to pick up one of these special-edition items this month so that your money goes to a good cause.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair 2021 Breast Cancer Campaign product

The first item is one of Estee Lauder’s most iconic products and one that they always release a special-edition of during this time.

The Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex (C$132) is a serum that helps to reduce multiple signs of aging caused by environmental assaults of modern life. With regular use (although the term ‘night’ is in the title, you can use it during the day as well), your skin will look smoother, younger, and more radiant and toned.

This special-edition version of their iconic ANR serum comes in a pink camouflage sleeve that honours and supports breast cancer awareness.

Estee Lauder Brave & Beautiful Kit

Another star Estee Lauder product to pick up is the Estee Lauder Brave & Beautiful Kit (C$48), which is valued at C$155 and totally worth the money to pick up!

This kit comes housed in that same cute pink camouflage print and the bag opens up to a matching eye sleep mask, as well as a 30ml of the Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion, 15ml of the Resilience Multi-Effect Tri-Peptide Face and Throat Cream SPF15, 5ml of the Resilience Multi-Effect Tri-Peptide Eye Cream, a full-size of the Pure Colour Envy Sculpting Lip in 420 Rebellious Rose (which retails for C$43 alone), and a deluxe travel size of the Pure Colour Envy Colour Replenish Lip Balm.

Again, for only $48, this is a steal considering that you get lots of deluxe sizes of skincare, a really cute travel makeup bag, a sleep mask, and a full-size lipstick (which is basically the cost of the set). Plus, part of the proceeds go to breast cancer research.  Snap this one up before it sells out!

Aveda Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme with Shampure

The last item is the Aveda Hand Relief Moisturizing Creme with Shampure (C$27), which is such an iconic Aveda product (if you have been to an Aveda salon, you know how good this hand cream is!).

This hand cream delivers intense moisture to soothe dry hands, something we all need as we head into colder, drier weather. This formula includes andiroba oil and other plant hydrators to help infuse skin with nourishment for softer and smoother hands. This cream also includes their iconic Shampure aroma, which is a calming blend of 25 pure flower and plant essences.

Pick it up at Aveda.ca or your local Aveda salon.  $10 U.S. of the purchase price goes towards the BCRF.

There are a ton of other products to choose from that support the BCRF and if you can do so, I highly recommend picking something up this month to bring awareness to breast cancer and to help gain a world where this disease doesn’t exist.
