Vacation glow: Bite Beauty Daycation Whipped Blush
When it comes to wearing makeup in the summer months I try to reach for more cream products.
When the weather gets hot and sticky, less is definitely more, but I find that cream products don’t feel as heavy on my skin as their powder counterparts. Truthfully, I tend to reach for tinted moisturizers and BB or CC creams for some coverage, but when it comes to the other makeup products, I usually grab powders.
Not this summer.
I love a good cream blush, but haven’t really found any that I absolutely adore. Then Bite Beauty released their own formula and this one may just be the blush of the season.
Released earlier this month, Daycation Whipped Blush (C$42) is a creamy blush that is infused with papaya extract, a superfood, to help promote glowing skin. Available in four shades, this product is lightweight and features a whipped texture that blends seamlessly into the skin.
Bite Beauty sent me two shades to try out, Melon Mojito, a glowing peach, and Coconut Rum, a warm bronze. When it comes to liquid or cream blushes, I typically find these to be on the thinner side, but this product, which comes in an adorable and ergonomic squeeze tube packaging, is more on the thicker side with a little going a long way. The formula is buildable and long wearing and doesn’t contain any oils that will block your pores. You can apply it with your fingers or a brush for a seamless look.
I actually really love how both colours look on my skin. These are really flattering and I find that the shade range they released is really complementary on any skin tone. My only qualm with this product is the fact that they are really small. For C$42, you would think you would get more product in here, but I will reiterate that a little goes a long way.
Overall, if you are on the hunt for a new cream blush, I would look into picking up a shade. I think that Melon Mojito is the perfect shade for summer since it’s a beautiful blend between bronzer and blush, so you can definitely get a lot of use out of this. I also want to note that although it’s technically a blush, it can also be used as a cream eyeshadow as well.
Have you tried Bite Beauty’s new Daycation Whipped Blush?
