An artist’s touch: Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist lipsticks

Life imitates art with Make Up For Ever’s newest lipsticks.

I’ve always really enjoyed Make Up For Ever’s lipsticks, especially their matte liquid lipsticks, so whenever they come out with a new formula, I’m always dying to get my lips on them.

New from the brand is the Rouge Artist Lipstick (C$31), a pigmented, satin-finish lipstick that will give you all-day colour and hydration.

Available in a staggering 60 shades, this lipstick comes housed in a beautiful lipbrush-inspired casing that is long and elegant and definitely unlike anything else in your collection.  The colour is a matte satin and will hydrate lips as you wear it as it contains amino acids for moisture, as well as camellia oil to soften and comfort lips.

Make Up For Ever sent me two of the 60 shades to try out, Power Greige, a dark taupe colour, and Spirited Pink, a baby pink.  I really liked how these applied and the finish they leave on the lips.  I did find them to be incredibly moisturizing and the colour was long lasting.

I did like these lipsticks but I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t find them to be anything too different from their other Artist Rouge lipsticks, aside from the package. The packaging is definitely unique and gives it a nice flair, however, I do think it is a bit unnecessary and the tube is quite long.  It’s very bougie and if you are into that sort of thing then I think you’ll really love these.

Aside from that, I do really like the shade range and the wide assortment of colours they chose to go with. With 60 shades, you’ll definitely find your perfect colour… and then some!

Have you tried the new Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge lipsticks?
