About a month ago I chatted about RoC Skincare’s Vitamin C line, which is a great line to incorporate into your skin during your morning skincare routine. It’s very important to add in Vitamin C products since it helps to produce collagen, reduces wrinkles, and more.  Another product to add in that is just as important is retinol.

So unless you have acne or skin conditions, I wouldn’t recommend a pharmacy-grade retinol, since those are very potent and strong. If you are like me where you’re in your 30s and just want to use it for more preventative measures, then a drugstore retinol product does the trick. If you like RoC products, then you’ll be happy to know that they have a retinol line.

There are a few different products in RoC’s Retinol Correxion line, including a few serums.  If you are looking for a smaller pores, less visible fine lines and wrinkles, and more firm skin, then give their Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Daily Serum (C$43.99) a shot.

This serum has a time-released pure RoC Retinol, which the brand says is America’s number-one most awarded retinol.  Their pure RoC Retinol formula accelerates the removal of old, dull skin cells on the surface, leaving you with fresh new ones.  It stays active for up to 12 hours and works to visibly reduce lines and wrinkles and give you a more youthful appearance.

The formula also contains ashwagandha and squalane which deliver hydration to the skin instantly. Unlike other retinol serums out there, this one is gentle enough for daily use, which is a major selling feature.

Now if you are looking for a more potent retinol, then take a look at the Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules (C$43.99). These serum capsules are designed to rival prescription skincare without any irritation.  Apply a capsule at night and wake up to visibly reduced lines and wrinkles.  Over time with regular use, skin will look more firm.

The formula contains a high concentration of their pure RoC Retinol and antioxidants.  The serum comes in individual capsules to ensure optimal retinol freshness and potency.

This product is a great alternative to prescription retinol since it is a little stronger than other drugstore versions out there so you may experience similar effects to the over-the-counter kind. I would start using these a couple times a night and then build it up to use every night. There are 30 capsules in the bottle so it’s enough to last you a month.

Finally, for me, the first sign of aging I saw in my skin was around the eye area. Since the eye area typically has thinner skin, it’s usually the first place you’ll notice lines and wrinkles. That’s where the Retinol Correxion Eye Cream (C$39.99) comes in.

This eye cream is aimed to address the three signs of aging around the eye region, that includes puffiness, dark circles, and wrinkles.  Apply this eye treatment morning and night to visibly enhance the eye area.

With regular use, this eye cream brightens and depuffs the eyes.  It also helps to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and crow’s feet.

I highly recommend this product since it’s super important to have a good eye cream in your skincare routine.  Protecting the skin around the eyes is so important since it’s usually one of the first places you will notice signs of aging. There are so many retinol products out there in the drugstore nowadays but I really do love these RoC ones since they are a great price for a good product.
