Good for you: BITE Beauty Amuse Bouche lipsticks

Title

Can we just stop for a minute and talk about BITE Beauty’s new lipsticks.

I’ve always admired these in store at Sephora, but I could never justify picking one up since I have so many lipsticks already in my collection.  Plus, how could I possibly pick just one shade?  They are all so gorgeous. Plus, the fact that they are Canadian, made from natural ingredients, I mean, what’s not to love?

So as you can imagine, I was dying of excitement when BITE Beauty sent over six of their new Amuse Bouche lipsticks. Each lipstick is made from natural ingredients, meaning that not only are they good for you to wear (no chemicals), but if you wanted to, you could totally eat them.  Not that you ever would (they are too pretty to eat!), but they say that women generally eat seven tubes of lipsticks in their lifetime.  Ingredients include fresh-pressed grapefruit, lemon, lime, tangelo, mint and mandarin extracts that provide a uniquely refreshing flavour;  12 edible oils that provides optimal hydration and instantly nourished, smoother, softer lips; and pearl, silk, and red wine resveratrol to prolong wear, enhance creaminess of texture and provide long-lasting antioxidant benefits long after application.

Each lipstick is handmade in their Toronto factory (Canada represent!) and they only make small batches, which allows control and attention to detail. There are 23 shades in the Amuse Bouche line and it’s available exclusively at Sephora.

Like I said, I received six colours: Beetroot, a bold berry; Black Truffle, a black violet; Chai, a mauve brown; Gazpacho, a true blue-red; Honeycomb, a beige nude; and Spritzer, a plum rose.

Each lipstick was very comfortable and creamy to wear. Colour was pretty opaque after just one swipe of colour. The colour is very long lasting and just beautiful when applied. I did find them similar in consistency to the Marc Jacobs Le Marc Lip Creme, which are also an amazing formula.

If you haven’t yet tried these out, head to your local Sephora or shop online (VIB and VIB Rouge members, there’s the annual spring sale happening tomorrow, 15 per cent off!). Even with six colours, it’s hard just choosing one to wear each day. And even with that in mind, I totally want more of these (like the bright pinks – Dragon Fruit, Cotton Candy, Gin Fizz… I could go on and on..).

Have you tried BITE Beauty’s new Amuse Bouche lipsticks yet?
