Back to bronze: A look feat. Lise Watier’s Rivages collection
If there’s one thing I love when it comes to makeup is bronzed skin and a good nude lip.
I received a bundle of goodies from the new Lise Watier summer 2015 Rivages collection and I couldn’t wait to get my hands dirty. In case you haven’t seen it yet, this collection is quite neutral with some surprises thrown in.
I was actually wearing this makeup in my last post, so as opposed to doing a review on each product in the line, I thought I would put them together and create something neutral, but oh so pretty.
The Rivages collection is comprised of seven different products, everything from a 10-colour neutral eyeshadow palette to a giant mineralized bronzer to cream blushes and shadows.
Anyways, I was in the mood for a neutral gold/purple eye, some lashes and bronzed skin, so this collection was right up my alley. Lise Watier also sent along their new Teint Lumiere foundation, which is amazing (post coming soon), so this whole look, aside from the lips, lashes, concealer and powder, are from the brand.
1. Fill in your brows, then with Lise Watier’s 24HRS Glam Eyeshadow in Chic Glam, a bronze colour, apply this all over your lids.
2. With the matte purple from the Palette Rivages Eyeshadows and a fluffy crease brush, apply this lightly in your crease.
3. With the shimmery darker purple and a crease brush, apply this in your crease to darken up the purple colour already lightly in there.
4. Using a flat shader brush, grab the shimmery bronze under the shimmery purple and apply it to the lids.
5. I chose to skip eyeliner and opted instead for mascara and some falsies. I used Make Up For Ever Smoky Stretch mascara and Ardell lashes.
6. Lay down a primer (I used two of Make Up For Ever’s Step 1 primers), then apply your foundation. I used Lise Watier Teint Lumiere. After, apply your concealer and set everything with a powder. I used Maybelline Fit Me concealer and Hourglass Ambient Powder in Dim Light.
After, and it’s not in the photo, but apply that same purple along your lower lash line and then coat your lashes in mascara. I also popped the neutral shade in the middle of the palette on the top row in my inner corner to brighten. To open up the eye area, I put a nude liner along my lower lash line to open up my eyes. Lise Watier released one in their summer collection, Smokey Kohl Velours in Nude Velours.
7. With the Bronzing Powder, apply this to contour. This is a giant powder that has shades of bronze, pink and gold throughout.
8. To finish up, I used the Blush Fondant Supreme in Shell, which is a cream to powder blush.
Although Lise Watier released three lipstick shades in their Rivages collection, I chose to go with something lightish nude (there is a nude in there, but it’s too brown-toned for what I was looking for). I have on Maybelline’s Barely Bloomed from their Rebel Bloom collection.
I absolutely loved this look and definitely will be wearing it again. It’s subtle, but still showstopping. I also got so many comments on how my skin looked. I’ll be doing a few more posts on some of these products, so keep an eye out.
What’s on your wish list from the Lise Watier Rivages collection?
Please note, products were sent by PR. All opinions are my own.
