Looking for the perfect, all-in-one concealer? Well friends, I think I finally found it.
Getting anything from Dior truly makes my heart skip a beat, so when the brand sent over three shades of their new Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer (C$48), I knew I would be smitten.
This concealer, which comes in a staggering 28 shades, is a 24-hour, multi-purpose, full-coverage creamy concealer that corrects and hides under eye circles, blemishes, redness, and imperfections.
Perfect for normal, dry, combination, and oily skin types, the formula includes wild pansy to visibly smooth and moisture the complexion while you wear it. Open up the top to reveal with doe-foot applicator which helps to effortlessly apply the product. I did find that a little goes a long way and it works into the skin beautifully as well.
I’m lucky in that I don’t really have any concerns with my under eyes and mostly just use concealer to clean up the area and help brighten it. I found that it definitely did the trick in adding brightness to under my eyes, as well as the high portions on my face where I applied it. Although I do set this concealer with a powder after I use it, I found that it does stay on nicely and doesn’t crease or cake on my face at all as the day goes on while wearing it.
For C$48 it is pricey for a concealer, but since you only need a little bit when applying it, I think that this one really will last you a while. Also, if you suffer from blemishes or dark circles, then I think it’s worth giving a shot since it is on the thicker side, so I think that you’ll really enjoy how it makes your skin look and feel, especially since the formula is so moisturizing.

You may have seen Garnier’s newest organic skincare line pop up all over your Instagram feeds lately.
The latest innovation from the skincare and hair brand is their Bio Organic line, a lineup of products that have organic ingredients certified by Ecocert Greenlife, according to COSMOS standard. These standards are made up by a number of factors, including environmentally friendly production and processing processes respecting human health; the development of the concept of green chemicals; the responsible use of natural resources; the respect of biodiversity; the absence of petrochemical ingredients such as parabens, phenoxyethanol, perfumes, and synthetic colorants; the absence of GMO; and recyclable packaging.
Their Bio Organic line is made up of 10 skincare products, everything from a micellar solution to a rescue balm, a moisturizer, eye cream, and more. All the products are vegan, dermatologically tested, suitable for sensitive skin, free of parabens, and come in 100 per cent recyclable cardboard packaging.
Garnier was kind enough to send me an assortment of items from the new line up, and if you are interested in picking up a few different products to try out, then keep reading..
Garnier Bio Organic Lavandin Smooth & Glow Facial Oil
Looking for some extra hydration? Then give their facial oil a shot.
The Lavandin Smooth & Glow Facial Oil (C$24.99) is a non-greasy oil that helps to regenerate hydration to leave skin feeling softer, smoother, and more radiant. It is formulated with organic lavandin essential oil, which is also organically produced and fairly traded, as well as organic argan oil.
Apply this via the dropper to your skin after your toner and before your moisturizer to help boost your other skincare products. It’s suitable for all skin types, including sensitive ones. Note, it does have a slight scent to it, but it’s of natural origin, so it shouldn’t affect those who have scent allergies are or are sensitive to smells.
Garnier Bio Organic Argan Multi-Use Rescue Balm
For the body, treat extra-dry skin with their Organic Argan Multi-Use Rescue Balm (C$24.99), which helps dry skin feel smooth and nourished.
This rescue balm, which you can use for pretty much any body part (I recommend the hands and feet), is formulated with organic, sustainably sourced argan oil, organic shea butter, and Vitamin E to help heal worn-out dry skin. This balm is perfect for winter months and since the bottle is on the smaller side, it makes it great for travel or to keep in your bag when on the go. Since it’s a balm, it does have a slight sticky feel to it, but I found it absorbs nicely into the skin, so the feeling doesn’t last for too long.
Garnier Bio Organic Lavandin Anti-Age Day Care
Looking for a good anti-aging moisturizer that’s also organic? Then you’ve come to the right place!
Garnier’s Organic Lavandin Anti-Age Day Care moisturizer (C$24.99) is perfect for all skin types and is formulated with organic lavandin grown in France, as well as organic argan oil and vitamin E to provide 24 hours of regenerating hydration.
This moisturizer helps against lines and wrinkles and absorbs nicely into the skin. It does have a pleasant lavender scent which is derived naturally from the ingredients in the product.
Garnier Bio Organic Cornflower Micellar Water
You guys know I love my micellar waters, so if you’re like me but looking for an organic version, then take a look at the Garnier Bio Organic Cornflower Micellar Water (C$12.99).
This micellar water easily removes makeup and cleanses the skin, leaving it prepped for the rest of your skincare routine. It includes selected herbs and their essential oils, leaving it gentle to use on your skin. Unlike other brands’ micellar waters, this one is safe for every skin type, even sensitive ones.
Garnier Bio Organic Lavandin Anti-Age Eye Care
Finally, for the delicate eye area, take a look at their Lavandin Anti-Age Eye Care (C$24.99), which is an eye cream that is enriched with organic argan oil and vitamin E to replenish skin with moisture and to regenerate smoothness and brighten the undereye area.
I highly recommend using an eye cream morning and night and I think this is a great option if you’re looking for a clean beauty alternative. This eye cream helps to target anti-aging around the eyes, as well as puffiness and dark circles. It also absorbs nicely and easily into the skin, making it perfect as a prep for your makeup in the morning or to protect the delicate eye area while you sleep at night. I also love how it comes as a squeeze tube, making it more sanitary, as well as easier to dispense the proper amount of product.
Garnier also has a facial mist, a purifying gel wash, a toner, a balancing moisturizer, and a nourishing moisturizer in its Bio Organic line up. This is the second drugstore beauty brand that I’ve chatted about this week (CoverGirl being the first) coming out with a vegan line. Clean beauty has definitely been making strives in the past few years and people are becoming more conscious in not only what is in their skincare and makeup, but also how the industry has been affecting the world in general.
Kudos Garnier on this incredible new line up and I can’t wait to see what other innovations you have coming down the pipe.

You guys know I have a thing for CoverGirl.
Basically since I started blogging, CoverGirl has been one of those brands that has really gone above and beyond in showing appreciation to bloggers. I’ve watched them transform over the years, completely reinventing themselves two times now, and being sold from P&G to Coty.
Since I like to think I have a pretty close relationship with the brand, every time they release a new product, I pretty much have to get my hands on it. They have truly become a brand equivalent of a friend, one you want to support and one that you’re so excited for when they do new and cool things.
The newest and coolest thing they have done recently? Well, they’ve released their first vegan collection and announced a new Covergirl, Lili Reinhart.
The Clean Fresh collection is their first collection that is vegan and free of talc, formaldehyde, sulfates, parabens, and phthalates. The collection includes a lightweight foundation, a tinted lip oil, a glow stick, and a cream blush.
The Clean Fresh Skim Milk Foundation (C$8.97) is available in 14 different shades from light to dark and is a nourishing liquid foundation that gives your skin moisture, as well as a glowy, dewy finish. The formula is lightweight, so it’s great for everyday wear and includes coconut and soothing aloe to keep skin hydrated. It also helps to blur imperfections and create a more even skin tone.
For the perfect glowy flush, try the new Clean Fresh Cream Blush, which is infused with hyaluronic acid to help hydrate and plump up the cheeks. It comes in four different colours and is very pigmented, so a little definitely goes a long way.
For the lips, try their Clean Fresh Tinted Lip Oil (C$10.99, currently on sale for C$5.49 at Shoppers Drug Mart), which gives you moisturized lips with a hint of colour. Available in six shades, this hydrating gloss, is formulated with coconut and pomegranate oils, as well as Vitamin E to keep lips nice and soft for up to six hours.
Finally, the Clean Fresh Cooling Glow Stick (which I did not receive or try out), is a cream highlighter that instantly cools skin and leaves you with a dewy glow. This would be perfect for summer days or on vacation where you want to wear minimal makeup, but still have that beach-ready glow.
CoverGirl sent over two shades in the foundation, the orange shade in the cream blush (Flushed), and the berry shade in the Lip Oil (Sour Grapes). I found the foundation to wear really nicely, and although it is a little lighter than I would usually wear for everyday, it is one of those foundations that is perfect to keep in your collection since it does the trick and it’s very weightless to wear. It smoothes out my skin nicely and covered up any imperfections I have. I can definitely see myself wearing this a lot as the weather gets a little warmer (although it would be perfect for right now since it’s so dry out outside and this is nice and hydrating).
As for the other two products, I’m not really a cream blush kind of girl, and truthfully, I probably wouldn’t go with orange. I found this product to really go on quite opaque, so because of that, you only really need a teeny-tiny amount, as a little really does go a long way. Since they sent me the orange shade, I did feel a little clown-like when I applied it, but I ended up taking my foundation brush and whatever was left on that I used to buff out the colour.
Again, I’m not a cream blush person, but I do enjoy wearing them on a hot vacation or a day at the beach or pool since creams tend to stay on your face better in humid weather than powder does.
As for the lip oil, the shade they sent me was the dark berry one, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that these actually go on quite sheer, so I didn’t mind the colour in the end. It did have a slight berry tinge to it, but it was very pretty once applied. These are really nice on the lips and I did find them to be nice and hydrating. They leave you with a slight glossy texture, but not sticky, which is right up my alley.
This does come in a clear version as well, and you can easily layer these over any lipstick or liquid lipstick for some extra moisture to the lips.
Overall, I really liked this collection and thought that for the most part, the products that they chose to release worked well. I hope they come out with more vegan items to include, like a mascara, primer and lipsticks, since clean beauty is definitely something that has been on many people’s radars for a while now.
In general, consumers are definitely paying more attention to the products and the chemicals and ingredients that are in beauty products, so the fact that CoverGirl, a drugstore beauty brand, has launched a vegan line, really says something about the company and being aware of what their customers want.
Do you wear clean beauty? Will you try CoverGirl’s new Clean Fresh line?
