Squeaky clean: Garnier Whole Blends Shampoo Bars

I have been loving how the beauty industry has really been making a positive move towards more eco-friendly and clean products.

To be honest, I have never really thought about the environmental damage that packaging from hair products can do. Garnier has recently released a new shampoo and not only is it different but it also has environmentally friendly packaging.

Garnier Whole Blends Shampoo Bars

The Garnier Whole Blend Shampoo Bars (C$7.49) uses Garnier’s technology to cleanse like their liquid shampoos but come in an innovative bar format.  These bars, available in four blends, are formulated with less water and come in zero-plastic packaging.

The shampoo bars last up to two months and are formulated with 94 per cent plant-based ingredients. They are also free of preservatives, silicones, soaps and dyes. There is the Honey Treasures Repairing Shampoo Bar, the Oat Delicacy Softening Shampoo Bar, the Coconut & Aloe Vera Hydrating Shampoo Bar for Normal Hair, and the Argan & Camellia Nourishing Shampoo Bar.

To be honest, I have never tried a shampoo bar before and you might be wondering why you would get this as opposed to regular shampoo.  These fast-rinsing formulas are 97 per cent biodegradable and are suitable for those ages three and up.  You would use these just like your regular liquid shampoo.  Just wet your hair and lather it with the soap from root to tip. Follow up with a conditioner and you’re all set.

I really love the idea of these and they would be great for travel as well since you don’t have the risk of them spilling or leaking. I also am going to use them to clean my makeup brushes.

Have you tried Garnier’s new shampoo bars yet?
