Eyes wide shut: Three eye creams to try out this month
Okay, so when it comes to your skincare routine, you should have a cleanser, toner, eye cream, serum, and moisturizer. I throw in a few more goodies, but this should be the base of items you use every day and night.
I’ve been using eye cream for years now and it’s one of the most important items in my regimen. I don’t usually swap out my eye cream on a regular basis. I like to stick with one until I use it up. With that being said, I do have an eye cream for morning and one for night, but truthfully, you only really need one.
If you are looking for a new eye cream to try out then I do have a few suggestions since I recently got in a few new ones to try out from brands I have been using for years now.
Tula 24-7 Power Swipe Hydrating Day & Night Treatment Eye Balm
My morning eye cream? Tula’s Rose Glow & Get It Eye Balm. I’ve been using this one for a couple years now and have also used the original Glow & Get It Eye Balm. I love how compact these are and how you can just swipe them on directly from the container.
At the end of last month, the probiotic beauty brand released a new eye cream in their collection, the 24-7 Power Swipe Hydrating Day & Night Treatment Eye Balm ($38 USD). So what makes this different from their existing eye balms? Well, if you love their bestselling Day & Night Cream, then you’ll love this since it’s a combination of the Glow & Get It Eye Balm and the Day & Night Cream.
This eye balm helps to firm and reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles, it reduces any puffiness, hydrates and nourishes, and protects from blue light. This balm contains peptides and collagen (for fine lines & wrinkles), hyaluronic acid and squalane (to hydrate and nourish), caffeine, apple and watermelon (for puffiness), and Tula’s Complex of probiotic and prebiotic extracts for smoothness.
If you love Tula’s existing eye balms already then I would recommend you pick this one up next. I know once I’m done my fave Rose Glow & Get It I will be switching over to this one since I love the added benefits of blue light protection and wrinkle reduction.

Dior Capture Totale Super Potent Eye Serum
The bags under my eyes are Dior! Kidding, cause there are no bags since you’re using a Dior eye cream.
The Dior Capture Totale Super Potent Eye Serum (C$102) helps to diminish the signs of aging, puffiness, fine lines, and dark circles. The formula, like the name suggests, is potent and combats nine signs of visible aging to help redefine the eye contour area. The formula includes biocellular longoria technology to re-energize the skin, rye extract to stimulate skin for visible toning and firming, as well as acetylated hyaluronic acid to maintain skin hydration.
Apply this serum via the metal applicator, which fits the contours of the eye area perfectly. With regular use (I would use this one day and night, or specifically for night if you like to switch it up), your eye area will appear more smoother, firmer, and luminous.
Lancome Advanced Genifique Yeux Eye Cream
When it comes to luxury skincare, Lancome is always a great brand to take a look at.
The Lancome Advanced Genifique Yeux Eye Cream (C$88) is the brand’s new formula to give you all-day hydration, as well as younger-looking and brighter eyes. Perfect for all skin types, this eye cream features a gel cream texture that has a new hyaluronic acid formula to hydrate, correct, and prevent fine lines and under-eye wrinkles.
The formula contains prebiotic and probiotic fractions, as well as hyaluronic acid to enhance the skin’s moisture barrier and protect skin against daily environmental aggressors. In addition to fine lines, wrinkles, and crow’s feet, it also helps to prevent against dehydration lines, which tend to appear when the skin is dehydrated.
This eye cream is great for all ages and really does target any and every skincare concern that the eye area faces. It is a pricy product, but with an eye cream, a little goes a long way so you will get tons of use out of this.
Regardless of which eye cream you choose to go with, just make sure you use one. These are all different price points and trust me, I’ve tried some that are way more money, as well as others which are more affordable. The eye area is one of the first areas to experience signs of aging, so it’s important to use an eye cream twice a day, and if you can, start young to prevent any signs of aging early on.
What’s your favourite eye cream?
Please note, I received this product from PR. All opinions are my own.
