Get Closer: Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Light-Capturing Self-Setting Concealer
If there is one line that when I see they release a new item I just have to try, it’s Make Up For Ever’s Ultra HD.
Brand new to the Ultra HD family is their Ultra HD Concealer, which is a self-setting concealer that brightens, smoothes, and stays put on your face for hours. Make Up For Ever says that this concealer, available in 22 shades, has a medium coverage but can be built up to full, and won’t crease on you leaving you with a natural finish.
I love trying out concealers but since I don’t have any real issues that I need covered up, they all tend to work for me pretty great. This particular formula features amino acid-coated pigments that immediately adjust to the skin for a 12-hour wear that stays put.
I’ve been testing out this concealer for a few weeks now and am impressed with how it makes my skin look. I really the love applicator since it’s a doe foot, making it easy to apply the product and actually target where you want it (although this type of applicator is pretty standard by now for concealers anyways). Although they say it’s self-setting, that doesn’t mean you can just put it on and go about your day. You of course still need to blend it out, but you don’t need to put a setting powder over top for it to last hours on the skin, which is awesome (and perfect for travel TBH).
This concealer retails for C$35 and launched late last year (in Sephora stores as of January 2019 though). I have a few of their Ultra HD foundations and powders and am surprised it took them this long to come out with a concealer to add to the family. Would I recommend this concealer over other ones that are popular right now like Tarte Shape Tape and Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Concealer? I’ve been lucky to try out a bunch of new concealers lately, and although I don’t find this one to be any different or stand out amongst the other ones I have tried, I did find it did the trick and made my skin look flawless for the day.
If you are a fan of MUFE’s Ultra HD line (which I know a lot of you are), I would definitely check it out since you can keep it in the family, if you will. I think this concealer does the trick and would be a welcome addition to anyone’s makeup collection.
