Made for this: Too Faced Born This Way Sculpting Concealer

Whenever Too Faced launches anything new, I get super excited.

Although their new releases are often just new collections, when they launch a new product I get even more excited. Case in point, their new Born This Way Sculpting Concealer.

I have the Born This Way foundation already and although it isn’t my top foundation, I do quite enjoy it and find it does the trick. As part of the BTW family, the brand introduced a new concealer that also contours, highlights, and retouches. This product, available in 20 shades, perfects your skin, while leaving it looking natural and photo ready. The formula contains fully loaded pigments that provide a high coverage that blends seamlessly into your skin tone.

I received two shades of this, Porcelain and Vanilla, and have been using Vanilla non-stop since I got it. You apply the concealer via the doe-foot applicator, which makes it easy to target certain areas of the face, whether that’s undereyes, the bridge of your nose, chin and forehead, under the hollows of your cheeks, etc.

I do find this to be a thicker concealer, but it absorbs into your skin nicely and really stays put. A little goes a long way with this, so if you are using it to conceal, just put a few dots on your skin and then blend it out. You could also invest in a darker shade for liquid contouring as well.  I don’t have issues with dark circles, but since the formula is a little more thicker, I think that if you suffer from discolouration under the eyes, this may be perfect for you.

This concealer retails for C$36 each, which I think for the size of the product (0.50 oz) is worth the price. I have Shape Tape as well and although both are amazing concealers, if you’re in Canada like me, you can’t actually get that at Sephora (you’ll have to order it off Tarte’s site as it is exclusive to Ulta). Do I like it better than Tarte Shape Tape? I think it’s comparable. I do find the Too Faced Born This Way to be a little thicker, but it’s not a bad thickness, that just means to me that you’re getting a little better coverage. With that being said, I also find that I don’t feel the concealer. It’s very lightweight.  This also doesn’t dry out, crease, or cake on my skin.

Before and after using Too Faced Born This Way Sculpting Concealer

If you’re looking for a new concealer or suffer from dark circles, I would say to give this one a try. A bottle of this will last you a while and it really does make your eye area more radiant.  And, with 20 different shades, you’ll be sure to find a fit that matches your skin tone.
