Top it off! L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Top Coats

Top coat title Nail art is still very much on trend this season and L’Oreal Paris is kicking it up a notch with their new products for July.

Launching this month, the Colour Riche Nail Top Coats will spice up any plain mani.  Available in six different textures, the top coats are meant to be layered on top of any colour polish for a fun, unique look.

I received three of them to try out, the Gold top coat, Confetti top coat, and Matte top coat.   I layered them over the same colour, L’Oreal Paris’ Colour Riche nail polish in Breaking Curfew, which is a vampy deep purple that looks like black at first glance.

My favourites from the three I tried were definitely the Gold one and the Confetti.  The gold one, when layered over a black or dark nail polish, just glams up the look and is very eye catching.  I wore this colour to a pool party paired with a black and gold bikini and I had some comments saying that my nails matched my bathing suit (I obviously did that on purpose:)). The confetti one is also unique but definitely takes more time to apply, as the confetti is a little sparse at first swipe.  The confetti top coat lasted around three or four days before it started to chip, whereas the gold one lasted around two to three.  Both of these were like removing glitter polish, it took a while.  I also want to mention that I applied a fast-drying high-shine topcoat (Poshe) on top of both of these as I found I wanted something extra to pump up the shine.  This could have affected the wear on these as well.

As for the matte one, I already have the OPI Matte Top Coat, which creates the same effect to any polish.  Like the OPI version, the L’Oreal one wasn’t that long wearing before my polish started to chip, I literally had it on for a day before it chipped off; so disappointing.

Overall, at C$6.99 a pop these are a fun and affordable way to glam up a manicure.  the other top coats are The True Diamond (diamond), The Holographic (prismat), and the Shift Me (shade shifter) top coats.

I also want to note that the products shown in my photos are the French versions, the Canadian ones will be in larger bottles, as so I’m told.

Are you excited to try the new L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Top Coats?

Please note I was given these products from PR. All opinions are my own.
