Body + bubbles: My top picks from The Body Shop this season

The Body Shop is always a great idea.

Stumped on a Secret Santa gift? Looking for a stocking stuffer or a topper gift? Want to gift some moisture? I’ve said this so many times, but The Body Shop is always a great stop to pick up a gift for someone hard to buy for since who doesn’t love bath and body products?

From body butters to gift sets, to masks, and even candles, here are my top picks to gift this season.

Bath Bubble and Bath Bombs

For only C$3, these bath bubble and bath bombs are perfect little gifts to throw in a stocking or a bigger gift that you’re looking to round out.

Available in four scents, these bath bombs start by fizzing once you throw them in the water, change the colour of it, and have a fruity scent (strawberry, vanilla delight, green tea, and mango).

The Bath Bubbles are similar but create a movie-like bubble bath. They also change the colour of the water and scent it depending on which one you pick up or gift (available in mooring, coconut, or pink grapefruit).

The Body Shop holiday products 2018

Vanilla Marshmallow Bath Foam

If you’re looking for something that will last a little longer, then take a look at the Vanilla Marshmallow Bath Foam (on sale for C$7.20). Add this both foam to your bath for a sweet scent of vanilla marshmallows, which is enriched with vanilla extract from Madagascar and Community Trade honey from Ethiopia. If your recipient isn’t a fan of vanilla, then try one of the other limited-edition scents from their holiday collection, Peppermint Candy Cane and Berry Bon Bon.

Body Butter

The Body Shop’s body butter is a staple, and if you pick up the bath foam, then gift the matching scent body butter as well.

Available in all three limited edition scents (Berry Bon Bon, Vanilla Marshmallow, and Peppermint Candy Cane), these body butters (all on sale for C$12.60 right now), provides moisture to dry skin. They are also all enriched with Community Trade ingredients and leave your skin with a pleasant scent.

I love gifting these since it’s winter time and skin typically tends to get very dry (at least here in Winnipeg). You really can’t go wrong with a Body Shop body butter.

The Body Shop Strawberry Festive Picks set and bath bombs

Peppermint Candy Cane Delights Festive Sack

If you’re looking to gift something a little larger, take a look at the Peppermint Candy Cane Delights Festive Sack (C$28), which has four travel-seized items of The Body Shop’s most popular products.  All these goodies come in the irresistible Peppermint Candy Cane scent, which will have your recipient feeling extra festive on Christmas Eve.

Included in this set is a 60 ml of the shower gel, a 50 ml of the body scrub, a 50 ml of the body butter, a 30 ml of the hand cream, and a reusable festive sack to hold them all in.

Strawberry Festive Picks

If you would rather gift something with a more year-round scent, then take a look at the Strawberry Festive Picks set (C$28), which has five items all housed in a gift-ready box.

Included in this set is a 250 ml of the shower gel, a 75 ml of the body polish, a 50 ml of the body butter, a 100g soap, and a red bath lily. Not only does this set smell amazing, but everything is infused with oil from millions of strawberry seeds.

The Body Shop Facial Mask Duo Gift Set and Spa of the World Blissful Escape Gift Set

Facial Mask Duo Gift Set

For the frequent masker, take a look at the Facial Mask Duo Gift Set (C$40), which includes two bestselling masks.

Open the box to find the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Mask, which helps to draw out impurities and refine the appearance of pores, as well as the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask, which is infused with real rose petals, and leaves skin feeling full of moisture and visibly smoother.  You can use them together or separate for a truly cleansing experience.

Spa of the World Blissful Escape Gift Set

Another awesome gift is the Escape the World Blissful Escape Gift Set (C$50),  which includes two full sizes of the Spa of the World Brazilian Cupuacu Scrub-in-Oil, as well as the Spa of the World Hawaiian Kukui Cream. The oil leaves skin feeling smooth and glowing, and the cream is enriched with kukui oil to restore skin’s suppleness. Both offer a relaxing scent that will take your gift recipient from the Canadian winter to the beaches of Hawaii.

Enchanted Forest Candle

You can really never go wrong with a candle and the Enchanted Forest Candle is the perfect one to gift this season.

On sale right now for C$13.20, this candle is inspired by the freshness of frosty pine trees (not gonna lie though, to me personally it smells like gin) and fills your space with a pleasant holiday scent. It has pine essential oil in it, so it’s perfect to light up Christmas morning.

Lip Liquid Parade

Lip products are also a crowd pleaser and this roll-out sack with five lip products will be sure to be a hit to anyone you gift it to.

The Lip Liquid Parade (C$50) features three of the Matte Lip Liquids in the shades Sydney Armaryllis, Nairobi Camellia, and Tahiti Hibiscus, as well as two Shine Lip Liquids in Strawberry Bonbon and Blueberry Chew.

You can either wear these colours separately or top the matte ones with the shine ones for a more festive look.

The Body Shop Mini Shower Gel and Mini Shower Cream, holidays 2018

Other small gifts…

If you are looking for more smaller gifts for a Secret Santa or a stocking stuffer, then the hand cream holder (C$5) is a great option since you can just attach it to the outside or inside your bag (just make sure you throw in a hand cream as well). Also, the mini shower gels and shower creams also make great options since they are perfect for travel.

Really, when it comes down to it, you really can’t go wrong with anything from The Body Shop this season. There truly is something for everyone since body wash, body lotion, candles, and hand creams always come in handy. The tough part will be choosing which scent you’re gifting that special someone.
