New to the family: Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer

MUFE title In case you haven’t heard yet, Make Up For Ever has released a new concealer. And it’s kinda amazing.

The baby to the HD Generation family, the latest innovation to the range is invisible, luminous and comfortable, which focuses on correcting and concealing dark under-eye circles, while seamlessly blurring fine lines and wrinkles.

Priced at C$32 and available at Sephora and makeupforever.ca, this concealer illuminates and brightens the eye contour with the help of some key ingredients:

  • Lamellar structure pigments, which reflect and diffuse light erasing under-eye shadows and blurring imperfections
  • An anti-dark circle complex which is comprised of green algae and amino acids to help conceal and correct
  • A radiance boosters, which is comprised of an Asian berry extract that helps to stimulate collagen production to brighten and smooth the skin
  • A 3D elastomer gel to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines

concealer Tip This concealer is available in 10 shades, but divided into two categories: correcting and concealing. The five correcting shades neutralize dark circles and counterbalance discolouration and blue tones, whereas the five concealing shades conceal imperfections, even out skin tone and brighten the under-eye area for a refreshed look.

I received the colour R20 Porcelain, which is part of the colour correct range. When I first saw these popping up all over social media I totally thought that they would have a brush to apply the product, but instead it’s a nozzle tip that can be applied directly to the skin.  I have applied the product with both my fingers and the nozzle and both ways work great.  I was a bit apprehensive about applying this straight from the tube, and although I sometimes have the tendency to use too much, it does work actually quite well; much better than I thought it would.

final

I definitely think this concealer is worth checking out.  It does leave a nice coverage on your face and sets really nice as well.  I don’t particularly have anything I need to conceal, so I didn’t put it through the ringer, but I loved the way it blended out, leaving you with a nice and natural finish. I will say that I did notice some patchiness under one of my eyes.  I’m not sure if it was the product or dry skin, but I’ve only noticed this one time.

There are so many concealers out there already, but if you are a fan of the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD line (I’m hit and miss, depending on the products), I would definitely look into this.

Have you tried Make Up For Ever’s Ultra HD Concealer yet?
