NOTD: Deborah Lippmann Superstar
One of the hottest jewelry trends right now is rose gold. I’ve seen it everywhere from watches, bracelets, rings, you name it. When I came across this polish a couple of months ago I had to have it.
Deborah Lippmann Superstar is a mix between a rose gold and copper with glitter. The polish part itself is more of a brown and the glitter pieces are copper. The colour, when it’s painted on is very glam and noticeable.
I find that most glitters tend to be very sheer; however, with this one the colour goes on very pigmented even on the first coat. This is not a shade that you buy to layer it over another colour. What you see in the bottle is what you get.
Superstar is relatively fast drying and I find that because there is so much texture in the colour, you can be a little rough with it even after five minutes post application.
I have seen some dupes for this colour online and if you really love it but don’t want to pay the C$22 price tag for a nail polish (I bought mine on vacation), then I would definitely give it the old Google search.
Have you tried Deborah Lippmann’s Superstar? If so, what were your thoughts?
