One of my favourite beauty products ever is the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream.

I’ve gone through a few of these CC creams and the formula is just one of the best out there. It gives you a nice coverage, it has incredible skincare benefits, and there’s an SPF in it.  What more could you ask for?

When I saw that IT Cosmetics released a new foundation, the Your Skin But Better Foundation + Skincare (C$52), I was instantly intrigued on what this was.  This foundation seems similar to the CC cream, but with a few differences.

The Your Skin But Better Foundation + Skincare is a medium, buildable coverage foundation that instantly perfects skin in that it minimizes pores and imperfections, while hydrating skin. Suitable for all skin types, it contains a number of ingredients to hydrate skin, including hyaluronic acid, aloe vera extract, vitamins E & B5, and hepes acid.

Now IT Cosmetics says that this foundation will actually improve your skin after just two weeks of wearing it. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t been wearing much foundation since I work at home due to the pandemic, so if I am wearing foundation, it might be once, maybe twice a week.  If you are wearing this every day, IT Cosmetics says that your skin will look smoother, your skin tone will appear more even, and the texture will be more refined.

So how does this compare to the CC Cream?  Well, both are amazing formulas that are good for your skin.  They both take care of redness, imperfections, and discolouration. The foundation is a more lightweight watery texture, whereas the CC cream is a little heavier and creamier.  The CC+ Cream also has a few different ingredients, namely collagen, peptides, niacin, and antioxidants (plus SPF, which is mostly why I wear it). In terms of coverage, the foundation can be customizable from a light to medium wear, depending on how much you apply. The CC+ Cream is a full-coverage foundation and is available in three different formulas (natural, matte, or radiant). Finally, if you couldn’t find a shade in their CC+ Cream, which only has 12 shades, then you might find your perfect match with the foundation, which has 40 shades.

So which one would I go with?  You guys know I am a CC+ Cream ride or die, so I’ll always choose that product, especially since it’s your perfect campaign when spending time outside. This foundation was really nice as well and find it’s better for more everyday wear since it’s lighter on the face, both in terms of how it feels and the amount of coverage you get.  Sometimes you just a little bit of coverage, nothing too heavy, and that’s where this comes in.

Truthfully, you really can’t go wrong with either product as they are both amazing.  In fact, anything IT Cosmetics does is pretty incredible since they really tap into the scientific aspect of the beauty world. They work closely with plastic surgeons and dermatologists to create and test their products and it really shows in the final result.
