Colour Coded: Pixi Beauty new eyeshadow and cheek palettes

Eyeshadow palettes… the most bang for your buck.

I love a good eyeshadow palette, and let’s be real, your skin and your eyes are really the only things we can play around with right now since masks have become mandatory.

I’ve been a fan of Pixi Beauty for a while now since the line is top quality at a good price point. They recently sent over some of their newest palettes, two of which are eyeshadow ones and the other two being cheek palettes (also a favourite beauty category of mine).

Pixi Eye Effects eyeshadow palettes

Starting first with the Eye Effects palette ($22 USD), these palettes (available in two different colour tones) contain nine shades that are complementary for a variety of different looks.  The shadows contain ceramides to help restore the skin’s moisture barrier, as well as green tea for its antioxidant properties, and Vitamin E to nourish and protect.

These palettes are very pigmented and I really liked the colours they choose for both. One is a more warm-toned palette (Hazelnut Haze) and the other is filled with cool tones (Rosette Ray).  For the price of each one, it’s a total bargain considering the amount of shadows you get in here and the quality is amazing, with each shade being pigmented, creamy, and blendable.

If you love the shadows, then you’ll love their Nuance Quartette palettes (C$22), which is a face palette filled with four shades each. Available in two different colourways, these palettes contain a blush, two highlighters, and a bronzer.  Just like the shadows, they also contain ceramides, Vitamin E, and botanical extracts to hydrate skin.

I found these to be very creamy and pigmented, similar to the shadows, and I like how you can also use these on other areas of your face, like the eyes.  Also, although there are two highlights in these, you can swap out the pink highlight for a glowing blush as well.

Overall, I think these palettes are great value and if you are on the hunt for a new eye or face palette, then I would look into these. I feel like there are a million eyeshadow palettes out there but when it comes to face palettes, there aren’t as many to choose from.  At $22, these are a total steal and the quality is top notch.

Have you tried any of these Pixi palettes?
