Smooth shave: eos shave cream

shave title

With warmer weather comes shorts and bikini season.  I don’t think it’s just me, but I find when the weather is warmer, my leg hair tends to grow a lot faster than it does in the winter months (is that too much info?).  Anyways, I tend to find that I am shaving my legs every week in the summer.

Being a huge fan of the lip balm and hand cream, eos has released their 24-hour moisturizing shave cream.  Available in three fragrances (pomegranate raspberry, vanilla bliss, and sensitive – fragrance free), the eos shave cream retails for an affordable C$3.99 at Rexall, London Drugs, Loblaw’s, Jean Coutu, and Uniprix.

The eos shaving cream is packed with natural conditioning oils, shea butter, and vitamins C and E, and softens and smoothes your skin for a full 24 hours.  It can be used on either wet or dry skin and is paraben free and not tested on animals.

pump

I haven’t used shaving cream for a number of years because I tend to use razors that have a shaving cream bar built in.  With that being said, I have always loved the feeling shaving cream gives you once your legs are freshly shaved; I’m just lazy and like skipping the step.

I tried out the sensitive-fragrance free one, although the other two looked incredibly appealing.  It is recommended to use two to three pumps of the product, which I did.  The product goes on quite sheer and smooth on your legs; it’s not thick like other shaving creams I have tried.  Personally, I like a thicker shaving cream because I love how it feels on my legs, plus I feel like it does a better job overall.  With that being said though, shaving cream is shaving cream and this left my legs hairless and smooth.

As for 24-hour moisturizer, my legs didn’t feel dry after a full day went by but I just don’t get the benefit in that claim.  Like, why only 24 hours?  Why would you need your legs moisturized for just 24 hours?  After 24 hours should I apply a moisturizer?  I don’t know, I just find that benefit really odd.

holding jar

Like other eos products, the bottle is smooth and ergonomical, which is a huge plus for me.  I’m one to judge a book by its cover, so if the bottle of a product looks cool, I’ll usually buy it (I’m a sucker for branding).

Overall, just like any other eos product I have tried, the shaving cream does it purpose and it’s a quick fix to a problem.  My legs did feel moisturized a day after I tried it and it’s quite affordable, so if you are in the market for a new shaving cream, try it out.

Have you tried the eos 24-Hour Moisturizing Shaving Cream?

Please note I was sent these products for review purchases, however, all opinions are my own.
