The multi-tasker: It Cosmetics Vitality Lip Flush Anti-Aging Lipstick

I am the first to say that I have an obsession with lipsticks. And, it’s not just any kind of lipstick, I have a strong liking towards pink ones, preferably of the baby pink variety.

Now my collection is pretty big, I would say I have enough pink lipsticks to satisfy every girl in a high school class,  but when it comes to gloss, that’s where I usually stay back. I used to be a bit of a gloss girl growing up but I always found it either too sticky on my lips or it wouldn’t last as long as I wanted it to.  Also, I prefer not feeling like I am wearing something on that area of my face.

It Cosmetics sent over their Vitality Lip Flush Anti-Aging lipstick a few weeks back and the product claims to be a four-in-one product: a lipstick, anti-aging balm, ultra-hydrating lip gloss, and lip stain.  Okay, so those are four completely different products.

From The Shopping Channel:

The Vitality 4-in-1 Anti-aging lip stains are developed to give that long-wear flush of naturally pretty colour without drying out your lips. Plum oil, cherry oil, Shea butter, aloe and jojoba all work together to help treat and drench your lips with hydration. Vitamins A,C, & E, acai, green and white teas help to protect and ward off free radicals.

The product comes in three different shades and I got the lightest one, called Je Nais Sais Quoi, which is described as a sheer pink.  When I first opened the product I actually thought it was a balm, the stick looked so light.  When I actually applied the product, the colour developed into a nice light pink colour on my lips; not a baby pink, but still pretty, almost like a rosy pink.  The product actually reminds me of eating a watermelon freezie, you know that stain you get when you eat one?  It’s similar to the effect of this lipstick.

So does it actually do all it claims it does.  Yes.  I have been carrying this with me non-stop because of all it’s benefits.  If I feel like a little colour on my lips, I will apply it.  If I feel like my lips are chapped, I grab this product. Even when the glossy shine is gone, the colour is still on my lips.  I was a little hesitant to try this out at first because I am a bit of a lipstick snob, but It Cosmetics really hit the ball out of the park with this product.

The Vitality lipsticks retails in a trio with Je Nais Sais Quoi, Love Story (a “rich, just bitten pink”), and Pretty Woman (a “sheer berry”) for $39.50 on QVC.com (The Shopping Channel in Canada also carried this product but it is sold out online). QVC also offers this as a duo as well. The other colours I find are a bit too dark for my liking but they may develop into a nice shade once applied.  I wish that the company offered more shades to choose from.

I have tried a number of products from the company and have loved everything that I got the chance to dabble in.  I wish it was more easily accessible, but if you haven’t gotten a chance to try out something from them as of yet, I highly recommend the brand.
