NOTD: Essie No Place Like Chrome

The last polish from the Essie Mirror Metallics collection is No Place Like Chrome, which is a very fitting name as this shade reminds me of the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz.

No Place Like Chrome was actually the first shade from the collection I tried and although you can’t see a reflection of yourself through your nails, it’s still very shiny (trust me, I tried checking myself out through the polish, but it doesn’t work).

As far as silver polishes go, this one may be the best one I have come across in terms of the final result.  It’s not a special colour or anything, but it’s very pretty applied on.  Also, for my birthday I actually layered OPI’s Rainbow Connection on top and it makes a super pretty, festive combo.

As always, I applied two coats of No Place Like Chrome, with Seche Vite’s base coat underneath and Poshe’s topcoat.

This polish is very pretty but it’s a basic colour.  After having tried all the shades from the collection the stars are really Penny Talk and Nothing Else Metals. If you are a silver freak, then I would pick this one up.  It’s also good to layer underneath glitter polishes.

Have you tried Essie’s No Place Like Chrome?  What were your thoughts?
