Barbie Lips

So I was bored and thought I would experiment with a new lipliner I got (in fact the first ever lipliner I have ever bought – I have always associated lipliner with old women for some reason) and ended up doing this fun lip!  It’s kind of reminiscent of MAC’s Saint Germain in my opinion, but I thought it was a fun look nonetheless.

The products I used for this look are NYX’s Dolly Pink lipliner, MAC’s Quite Cute lipstick (limited edition from the Quite Cute collection), and NARS’ Angelika lipgloss.

Let’s get started!

Okay so the first thing you are going to do is line your lips and then fill them in with NYX’s Dolly Pink lipliner.  I have wanted this liner for a while now ever since I saw Dulce Candy pair it with NARS’ Turkish Delight.  I bought Turkish Delight but for some reason I held off on buying the lipliner.  Anyways, I finally picked it up on Friday along with a white eyeliner by NYX and I have to say I love it!  I have so many baby pink lipsticks that I can use with this product so I think I will get some great wear from it. It’s also super cute by itself.  For all of you wondering, NYX is available at Zellers in Canada, I’m not sure where you can get it in the States.  The lipliner only costs $3.99 CDN (same with the eyeliner).

Next you are going to apply the lipstick over top.  I used MAC’s Quite Cute, a white lavender colour.  It’s a cremesheen so it is quite sheer and shiny.  I would say to apply this sparingly because we don’t necessarily want the purple, we want it to look more like a pink.

To finish off the look apply a pink coloured lipgloss, I used NARS’ Angelika; MAC’s Viva Glam Gaga (the first one) would also be pretty with this look.

So that’s it!  Hope you enjoyed this look!  Let me know if you try it out!
