Hours of hydration: Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Collection

I don’t know about you, but every time it’s sunny outside, I’m out on my patio getting my tan on. I don’t usually get this much tanning time in every year, but since I’m currently working from home, it’s been nice to spend my mornings with my laptop out on my deck and getting some much-needed Vitamin D.

Being out in the sun can be very drying on the skin, so I found Pixi Beauty’s Hydrating Milky Collection came in at the right time. This collection, which is comprised of nine items, helps to maintain your skin’s moisture levels.  If you are looking for firm, healthy, and youthful skin, then this collection may be right up your alley.

Pixi Beauty Hydrating Milky Cleanser and Peel

The brand sent me six of the seven items to try out (they came housed in this adorable milk carton PR package) and since I’ve been a fan of Pixi Beauty’s skincare for awhile now, I was excited to give them a shot.

Start your routine first with the Hydrating Milky Makeup Remover (C$34), which takes off all your makeup, as well as dirt and oil.  It’s very gentle and won’t strip your skin of essential moisture, making it perfect for all skin types. The formula includes coconut and probiotics to gently moisturize and balance skin.

Next, to prep your skin for the rest of your routine and to remove dead skin cells, reach for the Hydrating Milky Peel (C$34), which leaves you with bright skin.  This formula also includes arginine, which helps to produce collagen and elastin for a younger-looking appearance.

Now that your skin is all prepped and ready to go, wash it with the Hydrating Milky Cleanser ($17.99 USD), which includes coconut oil to improve skin texture, shea butter to hydrate, and willow bark extract to condition. Use this twice a day for hydrated, glowing skin.

After we cleanse, then we tone! Everyone knows their famous Glow Tonic, but for this collection they have released a Hydrating Milky Tonic (C$20) to enrich and comfort your complexion. The tonic is infused with oat extract to soothe and balance skin, while hydrating, nourishing, and relaxing it.

Before you apply moisturizer, add some of the Hydrating Milky Serum (C$34), which helps to boost skin’s elasticity and intensely hydrate. This is great to add into your skincare routine if you have dehydrated skin as it helps to restore natural radiance and elasticity, as well as plump and soften fine lines.

Lastly, apply the Hydrating Milky Lotion (C$34) for the ultimate veil of moisture. This moisturizer delivers hydration instantly, as well as long term,  and includes a blend of coconut oil, shea butter, and cocoa seed extract to help nourish skin health and hydration.

If you want an extra step that will make your skin feel amazing, then spray on the Hydrating Milky Mist (C$20), which is a mist that gives you an extra boost of goodness and includes hyaluronic acid to help plump up the skin by trapping in moisture.

I think this collection is a real treat and we can all use an extra bit of moisture this season. With prolonged exposure to the elements that can cause some drying and it’s important to keep skin nice and hydrated.  I’ve used a bunch of different Pixi Beauty products and love their skincare line up (plus, it’s pretty affordable compared to other luxury brands).

Let me know if you give this a try!
