Mesmer”eye”zing: Charlotte Tilbury Eye Colour Magic collection

Looking for something to make your eye colour pop? Then Charlotte Tilbury has the perfect solution.

Released a couple months ago, her Eye Colour Magic collection consists of four eyeshadow quads with dual-ended liners to match. The collection is aimed to bring out the natural colour in your eyes thanks to contrasting and harmonious shades for every eye shade. Whether you have blue, hazel, green, or brown eyes, there is a Luxury Palette and Liner Duo to give you the perfect mesmerizing look.

For blue eyes, give the Luxury Palette in Copper Charge (C$66) a shot. This palette features four copper-toned eyeshadows in gold, rose-copper, and russet-brown shades in shimmering and matte formulas.  This one is actually one of my favourites from the collection since I have blue eyes and find the shade range one that I wear often. There are three shimmery colours in here with one matte brown that is the perfect crease shade.

Pair the quad with the Eye Colour Magic Liner Duo in Copper Charge (C$35), which features a warm russet brown on one end and a metallic copper on the other. Having blue eyes myself, I do find wearing a brown liner instead of a black one to be more soft on the eye and really make the colour pop. I find I’ll get more wear out of the brown end rather than the copper one, but it would be something fun to play with this summer.

For brown eyes, the Super Blue Magic Trick Luxury Palette (C$66) will be right up your alley. This palette features an array of shadows that will make your brown eyes stand out.  Open up the palette to reveal a shimmering champagne and brown, a glittery blue, and a matte navy. This one is also a stunner and although I don’t wear a lot of blue eyeshadows, once I got to playing with it, I actually really liked the shade range.

I love to wear blues as a liner in the summer time as a fun way to wear some colour, and because you have two neutrals in here, this makes this palette actually very wearable, no matter the occasion. Pair it with the Eye Colour Magic Liner Duo in Super Blue (C$35), which has a matte navy on one end and a metallic blue on the other.

For hazel eyes, green shades will be your new BFFs.

The Green Lights Luxury Palette (C$66) is also known as The Rebel and features a shimmery gold, a shimmering olive, a glittery khaki-green, and a glittery brown. If camouflage was a palette, this would be it. This one is also very pretty but I find all four shades to be on the darker realm of things. For my blue eyes, I found that most of the palettes worked for me, aside from this one.  Of course, you can wear any eyeshadow and look fab, but I found this particular palette really did nothing for me, but if you have hazel eyes, then you’ll adore this.

Pair it with the Eye Colour Magic Liner Duo in Green Lights (C$35), which features a matte forest green liner on one end and a metallic khaki green on the other.

Finally, for green eyes (or blue!), scoop up the Luxury Palette in Mesmerizing Maroon (C$66). This palette features a shimmery rose gold, a shimmering maroon, a glittery rose gold maroon, and matte burgundy.

This palette works beautifully if you have light-coloured eyes since the purples and pink tones really help them pop. This one was also really pretty on, however, I wish the base shade (the shimmering rose gold) was a hint lighter so you could wear it as a highlight shade as well.

Finish off the look with the Eye Liner Duo in Mesmerizing Maroon (C$35), which has a matte eggplant liner on one end and a metallic coppery purple on the other. This liner is also really nice since the matte end is very dark, so it really helps make the eyes pop.

Charlotte Tilbury Luxury Palettes and liners

Overall, I think this is a really fun collection and love how Charlotte Tilbury made it easy for people to figure out what to wear to make their eyes stand out (which truthfully, since we are all wearing masks nowadays, I find this more helpful than ever).

Although you only get four shades per palette (which, at $66 a palette, it’s pretty steep), I do have to say that the colour range in them is good and very workable. I have her Pillow Talk Luxury Palette and surprisingly wear it a lot since I find the colours just seem to work together so perfectly.

As for the liners, I think they are fun and I do like to wear a coloured liner often instead of the usual black since I find it helps soften the eyes (black can be harsh sometimes, especially for daytime wear). These liners make it so fun and easy to wear colour that doubles as something that makes your eyes stand out, so I think they would be a good investment in your makeup collection.

If you are interested in getting your hands on this line, all of the items are currently sold out on the Charlotte Tilbury site and they are limited edition as well. Keep an eye out for a restock though. Since they are so popular I don’t think she would just stop her; I imagine she would restock them.

Have you tried any of Charlotte Tilbury’s Colour-Coded eyeshadow palettes or liners?
