Long & lashy: Fenty Beauty Full Frontal mascara
I’ve been waiting a long time for Fenty Beauty to release a mascara.
Thankfully the makeup brand headed by Rihanna made my dreams come true earlier this month.
Their first-ever mascara, Fenty Beauty’s Full Frontal mascara (C$32) is an eye-opening mascara that is designed to lift and curl lashes, making them look longer and more dramatic. It comes in one colour, Cuz I’m Black (black), and does a damn good job at lengthening, curling, and lifting lashes for a false-eyelash look.
Now the real innovative part about this mascara is definitely the brush. At first glance when you pull it out of the tube it looks like a rounded brush, but then you turn it and discover that it’s actually quite flat. The fat side is designed to hold a maximum amount of product to cover your lashes and the flat side helps to define and curl. It takes some getting used to, but once you have the hang of it, I promise you, you’ll fall in love with this product.
The formula in this mascara is long lasting, but although the brand says that it is water resistant, I did find that it smudged a little bit after a workout, so I would skip it if you’re planning on wearing this to the gym (which I don’t usually do unless I’m going to the gym at night and had been wearing makeup for the rest of the day).
Overall, do I recommend this mascara? Heck yes! Fenty Beauty did it again and knocked it out of the park with this mascara. I love pairing this with an eyelash primer (like the Marc Jacobs Beauty one) for some sky-high lashes and can’t wait until they release a primer of their own that you can pair with this.
Like I said, the brush takes some getting used to, but once you have the hang of it, I know you’ll fall in love with this mascara as much as I have.
