It was always a dream of mine to go to Drybar to get my hair done.
I actually got to accomplish that dream this past September when I went for a blowout for New York Fashion Week, and although the humidity of NYC quickly deflated the blowout, it was still such a fun experience to do.
So having that said, when I saw that one of my favourite beauty brands collabed with Drybar to bring out a mascara, I knew I needed it in my life.
Launching last year, IT Cosmetics partnered with the famed blowout company to come out with a mascara that promises lashes as large as your hair when you leave their salon. The Lash Blowout mascara (C$33) is a volumizing mascara that is biotin-infused to give you strong, healthy lashes.
Now the first thing you’ll notice about this mascara is definitely the packaging as it is modelled after their famed round brushes (seriously, it’s so cute). Open up the mascara to reveal a specially-designed wand that has microsphere to gently catch all your lashes to help separate, lift, and volumize them, similar to their own barrel brushes for the hair.
As you can see, I was so excited to try this mascara out, and although I’m not the biggest fan of their Superhero mascara, I still love everything else about this brand. To keep it short, this mascara does not disappoint. At first glance, the mascara wand doesn’t really seem all that special, but although your eyes don’t see it, there really are those microspheres that make the difference in giving you fab lashes with this mascara.
Lash Blowout is only available in black for now, but it also promises a non-flaking wear, which I found to be true after hours of wearing it. I love that two beauty companies from completely different realms teamed up to create a mascara, and seriously this partnership makes total sense. Next time you’re in Sephora, definitely make sure you check this one out, especially if you’re heading to see the Drybar styling products as well ;).
Will you try out IT Cosmetics x Drybar Lash Blowout mascara?
