Naturally clean: Mary Kay Naturally skincare line

I love it when brands come out with clean beauty products.

Just like a lot of other industries, the world of beauty is changing as well. People are becoming more conscious about what they are putting in and on their bodies. Because of that, being the pioneers they are, Mary Kay Cosmetics acknowledged this fact and came out with the clean skincare line earlier this summer.

Mary Kay Naturally skincare line and brush

The Mary Kay Naturally line combines 90 per cent naturally derived ingredients to deliver a stellar skincare routine. There are four items in the line and each have been third-party certified according to the COSMOS standard, which requires an evaluation of everything from ingredient sourcing and processing to product manufacturing and packaging. The products are free of parabens, phthalates, synthetic fragrance, synthetic dyes, SLS/SLEs, silicone, mineral oil and alcohol, as well as any ingredients that have been genetically modified.

The product to start your skincare routine is the Purifying Cleanser (C$29), which removes impurities from the face and contains skin-soothing cornflower floral water. The formula also prevents tightness and leaves skin feeling soft, refreshed, hydrated, and comforted. You can use it alone or with the new Skinvigorate Sonic Skin Care System (C$85). This device is similar to a Clarisonic in that it provides vibrations to gently life away makeup, dirt, and grease from the face and pores. The device brush head moves at a rate of more than 12,000 times per minute and the sonic oscillations quickly remove four-times more dirt, oil, impurities, makeup, and pollutants than just hand-cleaning alone.

The brush (brush heads are sold separately at C$28 a pop, and they also offer a Facial Massage Head as well) has three speeds to allow for a custom cleanse.  It also has a 60-second auto-shutoff that will give you the perfect amount of time to cleanse your skin. To charge the device it comes with a rechargeable battery with USB cord and is completely waterproof. I love that Mary Kay came out with this since it’s a way more affordable option than the Clarisonic.

Once your skin is nice and clean, grab the Exfoliating Powder (C$39), which is an exfoliant to help unclog pores and reveal smoother, softer skin.  Not only will this remove any left-over makeup kicking around, but it will also get rid of dead skin cells.  You can use it alone or add it to the Purifying Cleanser or the Naturally Nourishing Oil for a more custom routine.

The Naturally Nourishing Oil (C$55) is a lightweight oil that can be used on your face, body, cuticles, ends of hair, wherever you need a little extra moisture. I love how transitional this product is and how it’s literally good for adding moisture to anywhere on your body.

Finally, end your routine with the Naturally Moisturizing Stick (C$32), which is a travel-friendly moisturizer in a handy stick format. Just like the oil, not only is this good to use on your face, but you can use it anywhere your skin needs a little more TLC, such as elbows, heels, hands, etc.

Although there is definitely room to add more into this collection, I love the first capsule collection that Mary Kay has released in their Naturally line. I’m definitely hoping for a more creamy moisturizer and eye cream, but until then, I I’ll have these products on repeat.

If you are looking to pick up a few items from here, I highly recommend the cleanser, the brush, and the oil to add to your routine.
