High shine: Fenty Beauty holiday Chill Owt collection

You really can’t go wrong with anything from Fenty Beauty.

The beauty brand from Rihanna literally slays every item, so when I saw their holiday collection come out a couple months back, I knew I had to nab a couple items.

The brand is well known for their highlighters, so it comes as no surprise that she released a giant highlighter palette that should be at the top of any makeup lover’s wishlist. There’s also metallic powders, metallic lipsticks, metallic lip and face crayons, and more in this collection, which all comes in limited-edition holiday packaging.

I managed to get my hands on a few items and couldn’t wait to share them with you guys. So let’s get to it.

Fenty Beauty Chill Owt collection

Metallic Eye + Lip Crayon Three Piece Set

Available in three combos, Frost Bunny, Frost Hunny, and Frost Money (C$48 each), these cigarette case-esque containers open up to a trio of creamy metallic crayons for both the eyes and lips.

Each set contains three complementary shades to create a variety of eye and lip looks. Frost Bunny contains Banana Frost (soft yellow), Parka Princess (metallic soft pink), and Guava Mint (metallic rosy bronze); Frost Hunny has Sunfrost (metallic burnt orange), Ice Dune (metallic bronze), and Pretty Penny (metallic terracotta); and Frost Money has $lu$h Fund (metallic blue), Igloo Bloo (blue grey), and Purp (metallic ocean).

I received Frost Hunny and Frost Money and although I don’t find these to be makeup necessities, I do think they are fun to play around with and have in your collection. I prefer Frost Hunny over the two since I usually wear a lot of bronze shades on the lids, so these are perfect to use as a base prior to powder eyeshadow. Since it’s the season for more dramatic holiday looks, then Frost Money definitely comes in handy with the purple, silver, and blue in that particular collection.

The formula on these are creamy and glide on your skin to deliver opaque colour. Make sure your recipient doesn’t throw out the packaging since the lid of the container contains a mirror for on-the-go application.

Fenty Beauty Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Palette

Killawatt Foil Freestyle Highlighter Palette

This large highlighter palette is one of my favourite holiday items this year.

The limited-edition palette (C$67) opens up to seven new Killawatt Foil Highlighters in a wide variety of shades. Included is Subzero (iridescent blue), Stone Cold (icy pink), Chillz (iridescent baby blue shimmer), Heart Burn (metallic plum shimmer), Coppin ice (copper), Hunny Slope (metallic pumpkin shimmer), and Scandal’ice (iridescent lilac shimmer).

Now as much as this palette excites me, for my personal skin tone, only three of these shades really work for me, the centre one, the white one, and the icy pink one. With that being said, I have used the other shades on my eyes as eyeshadow toppers to deliver a little more bang to my holiday look.  Of course the navy blue highlighter wouldn’t look that great on my skintone, but layered over a deep blue eyeshadow, it really helps to make the eyes pop.

As for the shades that do work with my skin tone, I can see why these highlighters are so hyped in the beauty community. A little goes a long way for some out-of-this-world highlight, so trust me with this, anyone you gift this to will adore this palette.

The Fenty Beauty Chill Owt collection also has a number of other goodies which are still available for purchase off the Fenty site or Sephora. I do have to say that everything I have tried from the brand thus far has really impressed me, so anyone you gift these to will love them I’m sure.

Is Fenty Beauty on your wish list?

Please note, I received this product from PR. All opinions are my own.
