Locked & loaded: Three hair products you need this spring

When it comes to haircare, I have way too many products for one person.

I don’t know what it is, but when it comes to shampoo and conditioners, hairspray, hair serums, you name it, I just get so excited to try out new products.

Since I have an entire shelf in my cabinet dedicated to hair products, I thought I would throw together a guide for the top-three products you need to try out this season. For the colder months, I usually just stick with my normal shampoo, conditioner, split-end tamer, and serum (and of course hairspray for when I curl my hair), but the warmer months usually have me styling my hair higher with more just-got-home-from-the-beach curls.

Here are my top-three choices of products you need to bust out this season.

Joico Body Shake and Beach Shake texturizing sprays

Joico Beach Shake and Body Shake Texturing Finishing Sprays

If you’ve tried Joico’s original Hair Shaker, then you’ll love these.

Available in two new formulas, Beach Shake and Body Shake, these texturing finishers will add major volume and definition to the hair.

Designed for the perfect, imperfect beachy locks, Beach Shake adds texture to your hair, but without the usual dry, salty finish. Instead, this product delivers hydrating ingredients to deliver a satin sheen, all while drying quickly. The formula is infused with coconut and sunflower seed oils combined with bee’s wave for nourishment, hydration, and shine. Hair feels touchable and smells great thanks to its tropical fragrance.

The Body Shake Texturizing Finisher adds volume to the hair, while absorbing oil, so hair is full of body and texture. I love this one in particular since it gives your hair some volume when sprayed at the roots, as well as texture if sprayed at the mid-to-end of the hair shaft. You can also use this to achieve some of those stylish messy, modern waves that are oh so in for summer.

L'Oreal Paris Colorista Electrics

L’Oreal Paris Colorista Electrics

I chatted about the L’Oreal Paris Colorista Spray One-Day Colours last week and also new are electric shades to the regular range.

Available in three colours, lime green, hot pink, and turquoise, these just scream music festival to me. Unlike the sprays, you apply this directly on your hair using the glove and brush and the colour lasts anywhere from five to 15 shampoos. I’ve reviewed Colorista in the past and always enjoyed how it made my hair look and feel (very soft, unlike the sprays). These three new shades are designed for highlighted, light blonde, or bleached hair.

If you are into neons, then definitely take a look at the three new electric shades in the range.

Revlon Uniq1 Dry Shampoo

Revlon Professional Uniq One Dry Shampoo

Take your dry shampoo to the next level with Revlon Professional’s Uniq One Dry Shampoo, which gives you 10 benefits in one product.

This multi-use product cleanses your hair without water, refreshes and revives locks, absorbs oil, helps to preserve colour by reducing washes, provides hair with a fresh scent, leaves minimal residue, extends the life of your hairstyle, is easy to use, adds volume, and leaves you with a natural finish.

Okay, so maybe all 10 points are typical of any dry shampoo but I do quite like this one since it doesn’t make my hair feel overly starchy and leaves behind a nice refreshing scent. You can find this in a full size and a travel size, perfect to toss in your pool or beach bag!

Let me know what you’re planning on incorporating into your hair routine this spring.

Please note, I received this product from PR. All opinions are my own.
