All for one: Revlon Professional UniqONE haircare

I’ve never really been a huge fan of conditioning shampoos.

To be honest, I’ve never really gotten what the point of these products do. It’s a shampoo and conditioner all in one, but I’ve read that they are a lot more gentle on the hair than if you were to use each product separately (they clean, but they don’t deep clean). If you wash your hair everyday, I heard that you may want to swap in this product one of the days to give your hair cuticle a break.

Anyways, back to my story. I’ve gotten a few of these from different brands over the years and none of them have ever really blown me away. I still find I have to use a conditioner in my hair since it usually just feels tangly and I also have found that my locks kinda feel like they have a film on them. Long story short, I’ve never been impressed with the product.

Revlon Professional UniqONE Conditioning Shampoo

A couple weeks back I received Revlon Professional’s UniqONE Conditioning Shampoo in both their original scent and the new coconut one.  I figured sure, I’ll give it a try once, probably be disappointed with it, then give it to a friend or something. I chose to go with the coconut version since I’m obsessed with the smell of coconut and tried it out. Not only was I pleasantly surprised by the formula, but this stuff honestly blew me away.

This product launched in May 2017 and is part of the UniqONE range, which contains 10 benefits:

  • Washes hair and scalp gently
  • Protects and moisturizes the scalp
  • Maximum silkiness and smoothness
  • Doesn’t weigh hair down
  • Boosts shine
  • Frizz control
  • Hair easy to manage and style
  • Strengthens hair
  • Reduces hair breakage
  • Helps to prevent split ends

Starting the shower, I applied this like I would any shampoo and totally forgot what I was doing, so I rinsed it off right away. After I thought I probably should have waited, since you typically leave conditioner on your hair for a few minutes. It turns out I totally didn’t have to do that since my hair combed through easily once towel dried.  In the past with conditioning shampoos, my hair just doesn’t feel good, but this stuff left my hair feeling soft and once dried, it was smooth and shiny.

Revlon Professional UniqONE hair treatment spray

I paired this product with their UniqONE Hair Treatment Spray, which offers the same 10 benefits and is ideal for protecting hair from the damage caused by blow drying, straightening, and detrimental effects from the sun. It’s great for defrizzing and leaving you with a soft texture. Although it’s in a spray bottle, I actually spray it directly on my hands and then work it through damp hair. They sent me a mini bottle of the original formula, but I actually found the Lotus Flower version in my hair cabinet and totally put it to the test.

They also have a hair mask in the line as well that offers the same benefits, but for weak or damaged hair.

Overall, I was super impressed with this product, so much so that I’ve been using it pretty much non-stop since I originally tried it out.  It’s just so handy to have the two-in-one formula and makes shower time (and not to mention my hair) so much better.

You can find these products at Chatters or Trade Secrets and the conditioning shampoo retails for a SRP of C$19.95, with the hair treatment going for C$19.95.
