Dive in! Marc Jacobs Splash fragrances in Rain and Cotton

TITLE Marc Jacobs’ fragrances have always been a hit or miss for me. I love a more fruitier, floral scent, and I find his to be more masculine in nature. With that being said, I’ll never shoot down an opportunity to try out his new ones.

The newest Marc Jacobs fragrances are actually old scents, brought back for spring 2016. Available in Cotton, Rain, Pear and Cucumber, these originally debuted as limited edition scents about six years ago and I guess the demand was so great for them, that MJ just had to open the vault and bring them back.

I received two of the scents, Rain and Cotton, and both of them are bolder fragrances.  Available for C$65 each at Hudson’s Bay, these 100 ml fragrances have been all the rage lately on the blog rounds.

Fragrances

Rain is a captivating blend of wet-cut grass, sparkling wild strawberry, clementine, musk, teak wood and more. If you are into more masculine-smelling fragrances, take a look at this one since it’s base notes include teak wood, amber, musk, and oak moss.

Cotton is a more clean scent, and is designed to capture summer in a bottle. Top notes include peach, mandarin, bergamot, aquatic accord, with the base notes being white suede, blonde wood, and musk. Also a more poignant scent compared to what I usually like.

I haven’t given the other two – Cucumber and Pear – a sniff, but Pear has quite the following already. Although these aren’t my favourite scents, I really do like the design of the bottles. They are both a square with a thick black top. They look oh so cute on any vanity.

Have you tried Marc Jacobs’ Splash fragrance?

Please note, this set was sent by PR. All opinions are my own.
