The first time I ever had froyo was in Montreal years back. I thought the concept was the coolest thing ever, you serve yourself as much ice cream as you want, add whatever toppings you want, and then they charge you by the weight. Since I was a tourist I always went crazy with my creation, usually topping the $10-12 range in price. Yes, that’s a lot of frozen yogurt but YOLO right?
Well, since that time, froyo shops have been popping up everywhere, including in Winnipeg. Good for my inner fangirl of froyo shops, but bad for my wallet. One of my favourite frozen yogurt chains is Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, which is the largest-growing frozen yogurt franchise in Canada, which has two locations here in Winnipeg (I visited the one at 620, 2 Dakota Street Friday night), and this summer they invited myself, as well as Canada’s top media personalities to enjoy over 150 flavours of frozen yogurt all summer long, as well as their newest flavour, Oreo Cookie.
I’m so excited to announce that I am a Menchie’s Digital Ambassador and since my love for froyo is huge, I want to gift one lucky reader with a Summer VIP pass, which has a value of seven (7) complimentary visits to any Menchie’s location across Canada.
So how can you win this amazing (and delicious) prize? Visit your local Menchie’s location and design a yogurt creation. Make sure you follow @Menchie’s_CA and myself, @shaynawiwierski (Twitter) or @shayna_apopcolour (Instagram) and tweet or share an image of your Menchie’s creation with “#MenchiesMyWay: Name of your creation” – @ShaynaWiwierski or @shayna_apopofcolour @Menchies_CA.
That’s it! Winner will be chosen by August 7 based on presentation and creation. The Summer VIP pass expires on October 31, 2015.
Good luck and I can’t wait to see the yummy creations you guys come up with!
Please note, this contest is open to Canadian residents only that have reached the age of majority in their province.
