Summer brights: Yves Rocher summer 2015 polishes + swatches

YR title

If there’s one summer collection I look forward to, Yves Rocher’s is definitely high on my list.

I received a ton of products from their Bleu Vegetal collection, and I naturally gravitated towards their polishes first.

Considering how affordable their polishes are (regular C$6, on sale online for C$3.50), the quality has always struck me as very good (rivalling $20 polishes).  Their summer collection features seven polishes (I received six of them) and are formulated with Elemi resin for an optimum shine, coverage and lasting in one single stroke.  These are a bit bigger than their typical nail polishes and I have found the formula to be better than the past colours I’ve tried. These guys feature a wider brush that makes applying the polish a breeze (similar to OPI and Rimmel’s polishes where the brush fits your nail bed), and all the colours were pretty opaque in just one stroke.

Perfect Light Pink Intense Tangerine anthracite Ocean Blue Aqua Blue Soft Coral

The colour payoff and formulation is great, so much so that I can’t even pick a favourite.  The only thing to note is that Ocean Blue stained worse than I have ever experienced.  The polish pretty much got all over my hands.  I have used a polish stain as bad as this one did, but with that being said, it’s a dark colour, which I find with darker blues are a common occurrence.

Overall, I love the collection and so happy they updated the formulation and bottles. This one is a winner.

Have you tried Yves Rocher’s nail polishes before?
