Wicked eyes: L’Oreal Paris Black Angel Miss Manga by Voluminous mascara

Ttile New year, new products. If you’ve been to the drugstore lately, you would have been overwhelmed by the amount of new products from pretty much every brand. Some products are completely new and others are new under an umbrella product.  As a follow up to their Miss Manga by Voluminous mascara that they released last year, L’Oreal Paris introduced her darker sister, Black Angel.

Black Angel has neo-black pigments to create a very black lash effect all the way from the top to the bottom. I haven’t tried the original Miss Manga, but upon Googling the two, it seems like the brush is the same. It features a tapered brush with a very flexible wand, so you can cover every single lash. It seems like the big difference is that this one is darker.

Brush Swatches

My favourite thing about this mascara is definitely the brush, as it provides that flexibility to really get in there and get that long lash look that everyone wants.  It also coats your lashes really nicely.  If you are looking for a mascara that’s more subtle, look for something else. After two coats of this stuff, you get those mascara-filled lashes.  I don’t want to say “spidery” but the whole point of this mascara is to give you those big anime eyes, so…

I think the real draw about this mascara is that it’s a darker black than its predecessor, but I mean really, black is black to me. You do get a nice curl that lasts throughout the day, which is nice as I often find with mascaras that your lashes look amazing when you first apply it, then “fall” throughout the day.   I did notice minor flaking, so keep that in mind if you are interested in this mascara. Overall though, I would recommend it.

L’Oreal Paris’ Black Angel Miss Manga by Voluminous has a SRP of $10.99.

Have you tried Black Angel Miss Manga?
