Topbox February 2013: Lippy Girl Prive box

cover For this month’s Topbox we had the choice of either picking a Prive box or a regular box.

Topbox sent out an email in early January with three choices for the Prive boxes: one from Benefit, one from Miracle10 (there were three choices for this one), and another from Lippy Girl.  I chose all three boxes and ended up getting the Lippy Girl one.  At the time I thought this one would have the most bang for my buck, but then when I saw the regular Topbox (which included a full-size Deborah Lippmann nail polish) I’m kind of sad I didn’t choose that one.  The Benefit one also looked fab, however, I already had most of those samples from The Big 10 holiday pack from 2011. products

The Lippy Girl box includes two full-size samples, the Extra-Virgin Vegan Lipgloss ($15) and Sha-Zam Lip Shimmer ($10).  You certainly don’t get a lot of products in this box, however, them being full size is a major plus.  Also, I would rather have two good products then another box with skincare and perfume samples.

I haven’t heard of Lippy Girl before, but from what was on the info card, it is a natural, organic, vegetarian, and cruelty-free brand.  The Extra-Virgin Vegan Lipgloss is an all-natural USDA-certified organic lip-conditioning gloss that is gluten-free, bee-free (not sure what this means), and vegan friendly.  The Sha-Zam Lip Shimmer is a versatile gold shimmer stick made with certified organic oils and waxes and all-natural mineral pigments and shine.

I tried both products before posting this and, so far, am really liking them.  They both have a citrus scent, and best of all, are not sticky.  The Sha-Zam stick left a nice shimmer on my lips, so I think I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of this.

Although this box may not be the best one in terms of quantity (or value in terms of how much it is worth), I’m happy with it.  I love how the products are organic and natural and I think I will actually get a lot of wear out of them. I also love how cute and girly the tube was this month.

What did you get in your February Topbox?
