NOTD: OPI Suzi’s Hungary Again!

bottle copy

Nothing says “spring nail polish” more to me than a little bit of pink.

One of their more “spring-y” shades from the spring/summer 2013 collection, OPI’s Suzi’s Hungary Again! is a beautiful coral-pink shade that pops on the nails.

When I first saw this colour, I thought “great, another pink shade”, because you know, they don’t make enough pink polishes already. Once I painted it on though, it was a different story.  This colour reminds me greatly on a less neon version of China Glaze’s Flip Flop Fantasy, a favourite colour of mine.  It’s like CG FFF is a summer version of this shade, whereas this one is more toned down for spring.  As you can imagine, my view changed greatly once I painted this fab shade on (I love it so much that I have already used it twice since I got it, which doesn’t sound like a big feat, but when you have over 100 polishes to choose from, trust me, that makes this one special in my books).

Like all the colours from the Euro Centrale collection (and pretty much OPI in general), this shade lasted about four days before some minor chip wear (a pretty long time for my nails).  I used OPI’s Nail Envy as my base and then Poshe Top Coat to finish off the mani.  This colour did require three coats for some nails as it is quite sheer and can be prone to streaks.

Overall, I absolutely love this colour and was pleasantly surprised on how beautiful it is on the nails.  It just goes to show that I should never judge a polish by it’s bottle…

label

Oh, and just in case you were wondering about the name, Suzi (as in Suzi Weiss-Fischmann) is the executive VP and artistic director for OPI.  Why she’s “Hungary”, well, we will never know… :p.

Is OPI’s Suzi’s Hungary Again! on your wish list?  OPI’s Euro Centrale collection for spring/summer 2013 launches in February.

Please note, I was sent these products from the company that handles PR for OPI in Canada.  All opinions are my own.
