NOTD: China Glaze Aquadelic

So if you read my NOTD post from last week featuring China Glaze’s Electric Beat polish, I mentioned that I absolutely had to find Aquadelic, also from their early 2012 Electro Pop collection.  Well, three stores later I finally found a bottle, literally the last one.

When I saw this colour online I was blown away, it’s like the perfect mix of turquoise meets bright meets mint.  It was too pretty to pass up.  Well I thought that way until I found the last bottle of it at a Chatter’s location.  I took a look at it and I was hesitant.  The colour wasn’t as pretty based on the shade in the bottle.  I was floundering; should I get it?  Do I need it? What if I don’t like it?  Well, I chose to bite the bullet and buy it, mainly because I was hunting so long and hard for it, plus it was the last one, so I felt like it was meant to be somehow.  When push comes to shove, I’m so glad I bought it.

I think I may have found my new favourite colour. I haven’t been this excited about a nail polish ever since I painted OPI’s Fly on my nails.  With only one coat painted on my thumb I knew I made the right choice in buying it.  This colour is like pretty much the same colour as Tiffany blue (although not exactly the same, Tiffany and Co. holds the trademark for the iconic shade).  China Glaze already has a colour based off Tiffany’s (appropriately titled For Audrey) but I find this one is more bright and fun.

As for application, two coats of this holy grail polish left me with a beautiful opaque finish.  I polished up the manicure with OPI’s Top Coat.

If you are on the fence about buying this shade, don’t be; just like how a Tiffany’s box can make your heart flutter every time you see one, this polish does the same for me.  There’s something up with China Glaze’s Electro Pop collection, because I didn’t love Electric Beat at first either.  Don’t trust the colours in the bottle, they go on so much nicer.

In my opinion, this shade is a must have.  If you can still find it, pick it up.  You won’t regret it.  Plus China Glaze is pretty affordable, they retails for $6.99 at Chatter’s in Canada, and even less at Sally’s (plus Sally’s always has promos going on).
